Another fallen comrade we all miss dearly. I was fortunate enough to visit and spend quality time with him only weeks before he passed. RIP, Dick.

What a great guy. Even with cancer he took the time to travel to Ijam one year, which gave a bunch of us to see not only what a musician he was, but what an all-around affable and good guy he was. His many years of work at the Library of Congress was a huge contribution to the preservation of American music. He will always be missed.

Nobody is getting out of this alive. - It's particularly poignant to see a photo, so full of life, of someone you knew who is now gone.
Sad. Very sad. And sobering. We're all on borrowed time.
