Is there supposed to be an issue with using Safari to access this forum?
I have been using Safari non-stop ever since I plugged in my Mac. It works just fine for me on this forum. I use both Firefox and Safari, but I tend to use Safari as my main browser. The two are about the same, but there are a couple little things I like better about Safari.
I saw Wren's mention of Safari/forum issues. And I recall other mentions. But my Safari, as said, works perfect with this forum. (in fact, for the first time ever, I have a forum spell check up and running)
My OS is Leopard, if that has anything to do with anything.

I still have the spinning wheel of death if I log in and try to open up a thread. With cribbs gone I doubt this will be fixed...Gene pointed out the solution but I doubt he has access to the board's code in order to modify it.
I'm on an older Safari build FWIW.

I don't think Cribbs has permanently departed. We exchanged messages not long ago. He's just had a lot of other things on his plate.
I love this discussion. I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

I think it's a bug with displaying your email address here and Safari.

Well, wonders never cease..., I've just been able to log in with safari and it didn't freeze. Now to see if this can get posted.

It works--the problem before must be version connected. I checked a couple profiles and everything seems to be working there, too.

Safari still doesn't like to play nice for me, though I haven't updated it in a long time.

Well apparently the newest version of Safari can handle that little bit of code which caused it to freeze before. No need to change anything I deem!

Yep that's why I disappeared for weeks on end--Safari can't handle the forum. You can read threads but if you try to post... you will freeze up the whole computer. Bad news!

I have Safari on my Mac and have never had problems logging on. I don't use the Mac often but not for that reason. (I've never learned to use it)
