Beautiful weather, out for a ride this morning, low 60s when I left, touching 70 when I got back. Hardly any wind. Was reading about dylan and originality:

My employers are still allowing us to work from home on Fridays. I wonder how long this will last. It is such a pleasure not having to leave home and ride the subway to one of the sleaziest commercial neighborhoods in the city, adjacent to Penn Station, Madison Square Garden and the garment district, home to several methadone clinics and attractive to all sorts of derelicts. We refer to the walk from Seventh to Ninth Avenues along 34th Street as "Scumbag Alley." With good reason. But hey—I love my hometown.
It's good to work from home. The food, environment, lighting, and facilities are much nicer than our threadbare office space.
Currently 44°F with a predicted high of 64°F, going up to 68° and sunny tomorrow, with a tropical rainstorm coming on Sunday. At least the green market down the street will have good weather tomorrow.

In 1966 I took a job with Collins Radio and moved to Cedar Rapids, working at a small production facility. A week after I started working there a beautiful, 18 year old, green eyed blond started working there and we immediately became a thing, going together for a year and a half, at which time she quit her job to attend college. We drifted apart.
Fast forward 53 years, 2 years ago,. I saw in her mother's obituary that she had been married but was widowed, living Florida. This summer I debated, with my self, trying to contact her. I found a phone number for her and in September I made the call.
She answered the phone, remembered me, and after many 3 and 4 hour phone calls we decided we should meet in person. Two weeks ago she flew to Cedar Rapids for a two week visit.
Yesterday she flew home after a great 2 week visit. Now it's my turn to travel and this winter I'll be spending some time in Florida.

Very cool, paleo.
Good morning, folks. Today will be my first day with nothing scheduled in a while and I'm ready for it.
Monday my wife and I will go to Flagstaff for an overnight stay so we can see the aspens turning. We're a little late but we couldn't do it earlier. A cold front is coming through. The high on Monday in Flagstaff is now predicted to be 46F. The low on Monday night is predicted to be 23F. Brr. Those leaves had better be good.
All's well. Enjoy your day.

Good morning.
45F-66F sunny. Going to be nice over the weekend.
Down to the shop to get as much work done as I can. Almost there on one large job. 12 string nuts are difficult to get right and if you screw the mule on one you have to start over. Good bone stock ain't cheap.

Nice weather is returning to the north coast for the next few days. I may drive down to Letchworth State Park in a bit to view the leaves. Hopefully they are still on the trees!
Have good ones.

Good Morning
Another glorious October day ahead, to be spent in the backyard. With any luck, framing for the shed walls will start going up. I'm currently using 2x4s left over from our son's basement project, more trips to Lowes lie ahead.
This will likely be the last warm weekend before winter arrives. Let us enjoy it while we can.

Weather change alert. Summer is over and the rain starts today. We need it badly. The past few days we have had the worst air pollution in the world, thanks to some fires in WA and OR. The change in weather will clear out the smoke, and help get the fires under control, if not end them. I’ll mow this morning before the rain starts as the lawn is looking shaggy. Countdown to leaving for the desert in a couple of weeks. We’d go this week except the wife unit has a gals crafting weekend at the end of the month.
In guitar porn news, do any of you guys follow Dana Bourgois guitars on FB? My god he is making some beautiful guitars.

Yesterday I might have taken my final motorcycle ride for the year. As Mike mentioned, we start our rain phase today. Thankfully slow at work today. I will put in my time, then head home for a few hours of guitar noodling and maybe a rainy walk with my dog at the bark park.

Laundry, filling out my early ballot, practicing a short solo for choir on Sunday that I didn't know I was doing until last night. Supposed to hit 90 F today. Not quite as warm tomorrow when we plan to go to an outdoor Fall Festival.

"...filling out my early ballot...." Glad to hear it, even though our votes may cancel each other out at times. My ballot is awaiting pickup by the letter carrier.

Doesn't seem like too bad a deal for Dana B. He makes it pretty clear how the collaboration will function. The Eastman-built series will still have woods sourced and cut here in the US, designed here, and they will be assembled overseas and clearly labeled as such. And the Lewiston, Maine, shop will be expanded and still make high-priced US-built instruments. I don't think Dana B would be doing this if her were going to be losing money on the deal.

True, John B. Although I've learned that serious photography and traveling with my wife don't really mix. For some reason, she doesn't like to arrive at places before sunrise. She doesn't enjoy watching me move the tripod around and tinker with filters and camera settings. I'll take snapshots.

We need a button that will read "(Name here) relates to this."
