The SoundCloud page with a picture of you apparently playing a 1:16 long Norman Blake tune comes up when I sign into SoundCloud with my Google ID. It all looks quite promising but nothing plays when I click on the play button. I'll go see what happens with the SoundCloud app.
Update. - I hear your twanging and crooning fine in the app. Nice!

Thanks, James. So far I haven't paid a dime, I figure I'll have to, exactly for what, all that stuff. I appreciate you looking.

Sure, Todd. Worked fine. Sounds great! (A B&H Photo podcast follows, featuring The SoundHole's own Howard Lee. He talks about his dad)

Listen to you, Todd, cool guitar licks and great vocals, as always!

I tried on my Android phone. It sounds perfect with good sound in Chrome and on the app.on my phone. It only works in the app so far on my Android tablet. Must be an issue with my particular tablet.

Thanks very much, guys. I'm still working on piecing a life together after my wife's passing. The criterion for that seems to consist of three things. Be busy at home, have an ambition to achieve something and get out socially. It seems that music can fill all of these things, so making an effort to get out and play more might be a good ambition.
In that light, I need something to send to people who might be interested. I figure about five or six short clips of songs on one link to give people a taste of what I do might be a good thing to have. No one is going to take more than four or five minutes to listen anyway, that's the reality of things. And I saw Soundcloud on my phone, so chose to go that route. I figure I can add clips to that site and send that when people ask.
That podcast of Howard talking about his Dad (I remember that!) is a great thing to have pop up, by the way. If you haven't heard it, I'd suggest taking the time for that. Being able to hear that again is an added bonus for me.

Works on both an iPhone and laptop. It is indeed a long way to the delta from the north Georgia hills.

Todd, I could pull it up and hear it well on my desktop pc computer. I did not need to sign in to google to get it.
Your voice is very nice and the guitar sounds great. You had a nice volume balance of guitar and vocals.

I can see you, but why did you wear the dress and bow in your hair?
Sounds good.

Sounds great Todd. I like it. I like soundcloud as place to keep our music. We do get some modest world-wide exposure through their web music browser and music apps. They have a great resource for mixing your audio as well. I use it all the time with my membership.

Came up, played fine with a pic of you. Sound quality is not the greatest but that's been my experience with sound cloud, that why I don't use it.

Nicely done Todd. are you venturing out to any open mics? You might have to travel a bit but I'm sure there are some around. The good ones have a sense of community. It's nice to share with other musical friends.

As a matter of fact we're having an open mic at the Hithin' Post Saturday. I hope it goes well!
