Here's an early start for you.
After a rainy weekend, out for a ride (wet roads, so I took the bike w/fenders). But no wind, which seems like a very fair tradeoff. Then a doc appt, got my PT-INR checked and a script refreshed, all numbers okay (according to the doc)--maybe $70, next check/refresh in three months.
We're hoping to travel to the bay area in later february (one daughter and two grandkids there)--wife gets her new passport tomorrow and then we'll try to snag some tickets. Not the best time to visit there, but the wx will certainly be better than here.
Have good ones!

Good morning. Our first Thanksgiving guest arrives tomorrow so we'll be doing some cleaning. We'll have five days of houseguests. It's a good thing we love them.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning. Work sent out a message saying we can all work from home this week, rather than going into the office on Tuesday and Wednesday as we normally would. So that's nice. On the down side, the rental car I have while my daughter's car is in the shop wouldn't start today, so it's getting towed later this morning and I'll get a replacement.

Good Morning
Sunny and chilly after a three-day snowstorm. Nothing like Buffalo, but about a foot on the ground. Cold carpentry planned, until that plan gets derailed.

Good morning.
19F-33F sunny.
When Riley wants something he pats my arm, sometimes with claws slightly extended. He may meow or not depending on what he wants or how badly he wants it. This morning it was with claws and quite a yeowl, he wanted out, NOW!!! Simon joined him and I set the timer we use in the Winter to 15 min. They were both at the door waiting to come in when the timer went off, it's cold out there. No more naps in the front garden until late Spring.
Furnace fan was rattling last night. This morning it's quiet or not working. I'll have to check myself because if you call the furnace guy as a emergency he will charge you twice as much or more. I know we need the ducts cleaned, that would really increase the airflow, but one never thinks about that in the summer.
One last thing this morning.
Last night I loaded the dishwasher and included the coffee maker carafe and its lid, or thought I did. This morning I opened the washer to get the carafe and could not find the lid, nowhere. No it's not in the bottom of the washer or anyplace else. I'm going nuts trying to think of where I would put the damn thing. Good thing we have a backup one. After I get dressed I'll check the trash I took out last night. This getting old bit is for shit.
Morning rant over.

Sunny today through Wednesday with highs of 48, 51, and 55. Chance of rain on Thanksgiving with a high of 52. No need to shovel any of that.

Our first is my youngest sister, arriving today. Single, never married, no kids. Meaning I love her, but she can be finnicky. Colder 'n dog out there.

Was snowshoeing in a hilly park nearby yesterday. Boarders a medium sized lake that had skimmed over with ice. Already a snowmobile track across the middle. Sucker must have been really moving as there was still some open water in places.

Well, darn. Older daughter has been planning to join us for Thanksgiving. She just learned that a friend with whom she and her boyfriend spent Friday evening has tested positive for Covid. One of our guests will be my 81-year-old aunt.
We may have to gather in the backyard and keep a fifteen-foot distance. We did that at the height of the pandemic. The high is supposed to be 76 so it's doable.

Looked at my calendar and realized that I don't have to be anywhere all week. Well, I do have to be somewhere, I suppose, but don't have to leave the house. Don't have choir practice this week and the choir isn't singing on Sunday, so I don't even have to go to church in person. Got our turkey and the rest of the goodies yesterday. Turkey is thawing in a cooler on the patio, in a spot where it's always shaded at this time of year. Low last night was 41. The forecast shows no temperatures above 73 before Thursday. We might have to add some ice to the cooler by tomorrow afternoon.
No company for Thanksgiving. We are trying to coordinate with friends and family for a quick trip to see them in early December.

The sun is out and it's not windy. That means an OK November day although I wish it was warmer.
I have to remember to put the bone-in turkey breast and the leg I got (for gravy) in the fridge to thaw when I get home. Frozen turkey seems to stay frozen forever.

The failing has already started at the post office and the holiday volume has barely started. 2 1/2 routes didn't get completed today. We had an RCA (my position) walk off the job this morning. That leaves us with two subs now.
