Cold with 30-45mph winds. 23 with wind chill of minus 235! Ok, maybe I am exaggerating a bit, but it is very cold out there. Warm socks for everyone!

Yech, LJ.
Good morning, sort of. During the night I started getting chills and aches and sneezing and coughing and head congestion and chest congestion. I just tested for Covid and it was negative. That was a great relief to my wife, since she has concerts today and tomorrow. I'm scheduled to have cataract surgery on my second eye on Monday. If I were them, I wouldn't want me this way, but I'll let them decide that. A lot of stuff is going around and I was in close proximity to about ten people this past week.
End of whining. Have a good day.

10.9c right now, which is about 51f. Not supposed to get much cooler, and after a string of wet days, tomorrow is looking good for a ride.

Plotting out my circle of errands today, and think it will include a Culver's stop for one of these babies:

Rain this afternoon for the first time in weeks. A high of only 59 today. For us that's cold. Throw in the rain and it gets downright not nice today.
Eric and I will meet again tomorrow to record. Last week's session to record Drop Down Mama got to "almost but not good enough" So I will continue to work on this tune today to get ready. Looks like there will be little impetus to go out.

Good morning.
4F-16F mostly sunny. Usual Sunday stuff and then maybe a trip to buy stocking stuffers, we didn't get that done last week.
I'm not going to edit what I just typed.
My girl gets woken every morning, except Saturday, by me serving her a cup of coffee by her bedside, spoiled girl.
Well I just took her coffee in and told her time to wake up and she looked at me like I had two heads.
It's not Sunday, Saturday shop and then getting stocking stuffers.
I really am getting good at this getting old stuff, can't even remember what flipping day it is.
I know what I'm getting for Christmas because I picked it out, but I can't tell you, it would ruin the surprise.
107 Days until Spring.

Up, still fighting the damn cold. Tested again last night at the wife’s request, still negative. Coffee, Wordle and laundry. That’s the day.

It is currently 55°F and raining in Brooklyn. I have a couple of errands to run—a load of wrapped coins to bring to the bank; buy a birthday card; walk the dog again (my wife stayed out in Long Island to help her mother and bring her dad to get a CAT scan (they're both 95 years old, and he's OK so far); make lunch for the young princess; and maybe even get to play some guitar!
A good friend here asked if I would learn this tune and at least sing backup vocals if not play rhythm guitar. Those darned jazz chords... I've got my work cut out.
Wishing all a pleasant Saturday. Stay warm and cozy!
Don, feel better soon.

Apropos of nothing in particular, but here is a picture of my great-niece Grace. If it doesn't make you smile, you are likely dead.

It's a balmy 68 degrees up here, in my living room. Haven't been outside yet, but Casper just reported that it is brisk.
Lots of stuff to do today. Two more fish tanks to set up. Have to practice whatever the hell it is we are singing in choir tomorrow. And I should dig out the Bose and so it is ready to go for Band #2's Christmas concert on Monday. Oh, and tweak the house Christmas lights' timer as it's off by several hours. Oh, and Sam's for more coffee, getting low.

Cold and quite windy.
Indoor day. Maybe some workshop time, repairing a very old (~150 years) small dresser for our daughter. Solid walnut, was nicely varnished on outer surfaces, lots of rough-sawn inner surfaces.
Pasta with parmesan/romano sauce and mushrooms for dinner, fire in the fireplace. Lots of elm wood left to burn.
Have a fine Saturday one and all.

Howard: If it really is just rhythm backup, as distinct from comping, then shell chords will suffice. Ignore the extensions--they're for the keyboard player or lead guitarist. (And even if you're the only guitar, the chords don't need to be all that gnarly--otherwise, I couldn't play 'em.)
