It is currently 55°F and raining in Brooklyn. I have a couple of errands to run—a load of wrapped coins to bring to the bank; buy a birthday card; walk the dog again (my wife stayed out in Long Island to help her mother and bring her dad to get a CAT scan (they're both 95 years old, and he's OK so far); make lunch for the young princess; and maybe even get to play some guitar! A good friend here asked if I would learn this tune and at least sing backup vocals if not play rhythm guitar. Those darned jazz chords... I've got my work cut out.
Wishing all a pleasant Saturday. Stay warm and cozy! Don, feel better soon.
Pretty standard chord changes. You don’t have to play anything complex or complicated.

Plotting out my circle of errands today, and think it will include a Culver's stop for one of these babies: Now that is a corn beef sandwich!

Low 70's. Having a big family Christmas dinner at noon. Gumbo and all the trimmings. :-) Your recipe, sir? I can't recall if you like to cook, or just eat. Not my recipe...I follow John Folse's version these days. www.jfolse.com/recipes/soups/chicken17.htmHe veers from the norm with the mushrooms. His method beats my old tried and true method.

A very exciting morning here, cold brisk day and I had to go to Vinton to get a new toilet plunger. Got the plunger, came home and got the stool working again.
Oh, I also stopped at the auto parts store in Vinton and picked up two, 2023 calendars. I like the calendars because there is room to write on them, that helps me remember important dates and reminds me of what I have planned.

Evan made me rethink my Reuben sammich idea -- so I started searching for places where I could get gumbo, found quite a few, but their reviews were not so hot, so, staying in the spicy category, I switched my thought train to curries instead. Just brought home some Lebanese chicken curry from my old mainstay, Zakia Deli, and it's terrific. Maybe a Reuben tomoro.
On my drive to the deli I was floored by how many cars were parked at the U golf course's driving range -- I mean it's sunny, but it's also 15 degrees, and how is the grounds crew gonna find and fetch golf balls that land in snow?
Oh, duh, the lot is used for Christmas tree sales at this time of year.

That performance goes well with Chardonnay. Thank you, Howard. I have confidence that you will figure our the tune - try some Chardonnay before and after practice.

An odd day. It was in the 50s all day with rain ranging from light to moderate. It's good for the desert.

Bierocks for dinner tonight.
Made a trip to Trader Joe’s and Hy-vee this morning. It was cold, breezy, and very expensive.
