E-bike tinkering today. At request of NYT staff and accompanying their walkout, not Wordling. Wonder if Washington Post has anything. ETA - Wordle-ish alternatives word.rodeo/jowordle/hellowordl.net/

It's a good morning, gotta enjoy it because some less desirable weather will show up this evening.
I'm out of eggs and OJ, that means a trip to Fareway today. I've been thinking I need to make some sheppards pie for the upcoming foul weather, and see if I can make it taste as good as the sheppards pie I had at Milwaukee's Irish fest, last summer.

Forgot to ask, is there any recognition of Pearl Harbor day in Japan on the 7th?

Forgot to ask, is there any recognition of Pearl Harbor day in Japan on the 7th? I doubt that. A lot of things happened without the Emperor's permission.

Up. Week coffee in the room. Should make it home by this afternoon. Looking forward to not driving.

Sunny, on our way to 30 degrees, just climbed to 10 a minute ago. Hot date with Trader Joe's this afternoon. Need to peruse the Fearless Flyer before then. Carry on. Added to my procurement list:

Good Morning
Cloudy, chilly, rain and snow tomorrow.
Siding for shed is in the van, tools are staged, starting siding today, maybe this is the home stretch.
Have a fine Thursday

Six degrees when we left Alexandria early this AM but we are now in the cities where it is balmy.
I switched to my winter parka yesterday as single digit temps persisted. As usual I am having trouble with the increased personal space. Knocking things off shelves countertops, etc. Almost afraid to go to a store.

Mr. Hammond's taste buds have it good.
I went a bit crazy ordering guitar picks last night. I was trying to compensate for the lack of practice and playing time. Hope it works.

Good afternoon
44F partly sunny
Back from the MRI. Not fun but not too bad either. They had to give me the antidote for the stress simulator because the chest pain lingered. I was shaking like a leaf and woozy due to a cold room and lack of food but my nurse got me warm blankets, hot tea, breakfast bars and I was soon back to normal except still hungry. Now I'm eating a nice lunch and drinking a quart of water.

Glad you're recovering from this morning's activities, Marty.
The new coffee maker is getting a workout today. Very nice coffee. For coffee snobs, you know what I ordered; for the rest of you, it's a Black & Decker/Mr. Coffee combo that makes a regular pot of joe just fine, no need to spend a lot of money on something as simple as a coffee maker.

I'm not sure what the Irish fest sheppards pie was seasoned with, but I'm thinking that it was Old Bay seasoning. I'll know more once I try it. I found a Facebook video where the Irish Fest chef talks you through the whole thing in about 8 minutes. I watched about half, and the only seasonings he added were sage and thyme, in powdered form. But he may add other stuff later.
