I’m a smitten kitten. Mike It doesn't suck, but it would sound a lot better if it had an Italian spruce top and Honduran Rosewood B&S.

Nice picking on that Goodall by David Surette. I miss him more than I should. We were very good acquaintances.

If I win the Mega, I will buy you that guitar, Mike. We should know tonight. Start holding your breath.

My magnificent Honduran/Italian 000 is still the only Goodall I've played. A fellow on AGF that has played dozens says the redwood topped ones have been his favorites.

A couple decades ago, I was corresponding with James Goodall about a Redwood over Honduran CC just like that one. I was hesitating/choking over the price. Then I stumbled on my reconstructed 1957 Gibson J50 in a store (for $1,500) and I went in a different direction.
Don Clark had a Redwood Goodall, didn't he?

As I mentioned earlier, Don Clark's Goodall Parlor had the same woods as mine, Honduran Rosewood and Italian Spruce. You might be thinking of the late Steveo, who bought a Redwood-topped Goodall at Podium way back when.

Ahhh
I was seriously considering the Redwood/Honduran back in Ought-Two.
Doesn't CC mean Concert Cutaway? I can't remember. Does CJ mean Concert Jumbo? I'm not up on my Goodall nomenclature.

I hit the Youtube link to see who the artist was... and you were. Sweet playing, Paul. Impressed in North Dakota! (and it takes a lot of impress a Nodak, seen it all and done it twice bunch we are)

The CJC is what I was corresponding with James about 20 years ago. It was going to be $5.5k back then.
