I assume everybody knows the year. If so, could someone PM me that info? It’s another dreary, cold day in Hoosierville, but it should hit 50 tomorrow. Enjoy your morning beverages.

My phone says it's 19 degrees outside, a good reason to be inside.
Got an update last night on my grandson's friend that hit the tree at Keystone last week. Surgery in Denver to to put his jaw back together was successful. He's now back home in Wisconsin and will be meeting with his dentist next week to work out a plan to get his teeth installed/repaired/replaced. No other significant injuries, he's in good spirits and says he plans to ski again.

Good morning
13F - 33F mostly sunny.
I can't lift anything over 10lb. but I can make a nut and saddle so that is what I'll do today, besides laundry.
65 Days until spring.

Good morning. We'll have 40s-60s and clouds with rain tonight. Now that I'm allowed to exert myself again I'll be forking up weeds. January is peak season for yard work. I don't much care about the yard but I don't want to wince every time I go out back. It's hard to believe my wife and I were in our thirties when we moved in here.
Have a pleasant day, one and all.
A big hiss to the Wordle editors today. Wordle 574 4/6*

No yard work to speak of at what is technically a townhouse, but detached. I may go out and try to clean up some of the block windowsills so we don't get dinged by the HOA for black areas. Yeah, they look at that. Never made it to Costco yesterday, maybe today. Or maybe wait until it's not the holiday weekend.
Marty, my laundry baskets weigh well over 10 pounds when full. Have somebody else carry them for you.

I have one errand that needs to be done today, but I am gonna put it off as long as I can and hope that the melting starts out there, because the footing is treacherous, both my driveway and parking lots. I nearly tumbled at the post office yesterday.

We've decided we wanted to shed some of our decades old furniture for new stuff. So today we are giving away some of it and called the Junk truck for the rest. Tomorrow the new stuff arrives.

Heading to the cities to watch a Chicago grandson play hockey. Got both new guitars finish sanded yesterday. Also got in some skinny ski time. Snow was decent.

It is now up to 26 here in Vinton. May run in to Cedar Rapids later and the wife and I are planning a date night for tonight! First one in a while. After 50 years of marriage, every night is a date night...I guess?!?! Hope to get some quality time with both the mandolin and the guitar today. Even as tough as my callouses are, my fingers were hurting from so much playing yesterday. Not use to playing the guitar these days.
Have good ones to one and all, and Marty, wet laundry is heavy, watch yourself!

Oh Bill, you'll probably have to spend a year in Purgatory (not the ski area) for that comment. Far as I know the tree is fine. It is interesting that the people who ski the type of terrain where the accident happened refer to this type of skiing as "dancing with the Devil".

Last day of the Mecum car auction from Kissimmee, and their ratings must be huge, because they've been breaking away for commercials every 5 minutes or so -- it actually seems that there is more time being spent running ads than covering the auction. SOMEONE is making lots of money. And it's six hours of coverage.

1:15 and I've got quite a bit of work done. Saddle finished except for final height and nut made and installed, just need to slot it and adjust string slots. But now it's time for lunch and a rest. Me Darlin Wife made me a fried egg sammich on a muffin.

This evening we talked to my northern California daughter. There's a lot of flooding in her area. Her house is safe and dry. The pizza delivery guys are wearing rubber boots, she says. They go to places that aren't dry. She went to a friend's house for an exercise session. The street where her friend lives was like a river. Nature always has the last word.

I enjoyed a short twelve hour work day. A beautiful day for a 150 mile drive through the country.
This pay period I logged 1400 miles. At ninety cents a mile I will be paid for my $400 gas bill.
