Nice day so far, but it just started so a lot can happen. Enjoy your breakfast and remember—lots of strong coffee is the key to happiness and success.

Currently 62 in St Petersburg going up to 78.
I checked out the two guitar amps yesterday. First task was to clean off all the chicken poop. I got them cleaned up and tried the Fender M-80 first. It has a problem, as soon as it's turned on it starts squealing, with all volume/gain set to minimum and nothing plugged in.
The second amp, a Spider 112, came on, everything seems to work and it sounds good. I had a Fender telecaster plugged in. I haven't tried the presets yet, will do that today.

Good morning
27F - 36F mostly sunny.
Well the rent increase problem is over with for now and while I still plan to move it is not as urgent, having a lawyer helps. I can take a little more time so I'll be able to move in the Summer instead of the dead of Winter.
Back to the Mossman today and maybe I'll get it done. But there are so many details to observe. Yesterday after cleaning and reinstalling the tuners I noticed they were never installed correctly, they were not lined up properly. So I filled all the screw holes and the first thing this morning will be getting them installed the right way. Just another screw up on this Texas made Mossman, I don't think they made a lot of them in the Texas shop. Trying to pay attention to details is what makes up a job well done.
41 Days Until Spring.

I’m up. Coffee is being consumed, and ther will be more with the old farts soon. Sort of a sad day, as we lost one of the old farts a few days ago, Jimmy Meyer was a funny and intertaining guy I worked with for years, and he has stepped off the page. So we will gather together this morning and remember the good times.

Looks like we are in for at least a week of days with high temps above freezing, so the streets should lose some of their icy ruts. This will invite drivers to speed up in my neighborhood, but fortunately the city dispatched a big Case front-end loader this morning to knock down all the 5-foot-high snow towers that plows have left behind at each corner, which were really hard to see around. It's fortunate that there have not been any bad wrecks around here.

A nice week up here as well. No cold air in sight for the next ten days, which is good. If you can get by the first half of February without hitting the deep freeze, then you are home free, it's downhill all the way to Spring.
Whooee!

Meanwhile, the Vikings hired a new defensive coordinator who will be in complete charge of fixing their aging, inept defense.
Poor bastard.

Good news! Glad the move will be less stressful. Mossman tuners are all installed on a slightly curved line. The tuners don’t line up straight on the back of the headstock. As of 2020, Sulfur Springs Mossman Guitars were still being made one at a time by special order. I don’t know how many were made there. This photo is from Guitar Gallery.

This photo is from Guitar Gallery. True, but these looked really wonky and uneven. I also noticed that the nylon bearing washers on half of them are gone. So because I don't have the exact size for the missing ones I will replace them all so they all look the same. That's the problem with being a Fussy Mucker. Sometimes I can let the little stuff go but on a guitar with a big bill to pay I can't
