I saw that story yesterday and had the same Smothers Brothers thought!

Mars used to be headquartered in a near west side Chicago suburb. On the Milwaukee Road west commuter train line there's a stop for "Mars." When I was in grade school, we took a school sponsored field trip to the Mars factory. Saw the machines slicing a slab of nougat into bar width strips and then chopped into bars and run through the chocolate coating machine. Three Musketeers, I think. Exciting stuff.
And we were given some free samples in the gift shop. The place smelled great.

In the late 60s, at a turkey processing plant, in West Liberty, Iowa, a person cleaning late at night when processing was not in progress, fell into a giant tank of turkey blood and drowned.

I used to work in a chocolate factory. If, many years ago, full of happy anticipation you bit into a Baileys Irish Cream liqueur chocolate only to be met with an unwelcome and sickly filling of sweet sherry, I'm sorry about that. I wrapped several thousand of them wrongly before noticing my error.
