Heading to the UPS Store to ship back our DirecTV equipment. Then we hope we're completely done with them, although they'll still have a chance to mess with us. Service was disconnected a few days ago and we have a zero balance. We may add more streaming services at some point, but so far YouTube TV has been sufficient for our needs at less than half the cost. When we did that the UPS guy told us to hang on to the UPS paperwork. Turns out Direct won't let UPS ship returns until they can fill some box that holds several receivers. That can take awhile, which might cause confusion as to whether we returned our sat-box in a timely manner.

Yeah, Dave. Thanks. We figured out that UPS was not going to send in one receiver at a time. DirecTV's website says that when UPS scans in the serial number it's confirmation. Of course, we have had enough issues that we don't trust anything DirecTV says.

I got out for a short motorbike ride around suburbia. It was only 50 F here, but with my built in insulation and all the protective gear I wear, that was comfortable. Now it is time to tickle the ebony (Martin ooo-28) and maple (Fender Tele), then try to imagine what Bill might have for dinner, and try to cook something like it.

"Morning all. Another spectacular Wordle fail today."
That was a hard one.

Well, dinner at Mac's Diner was pretty much a bust, extremely noisy and mediocre (in my case, lousy) entrees. Barb had a two-patty burger with too much cheese and a Big Mac-kinda sauce -- looked good but was not remarkable in taste, she said. Ditto for the coleslaw that accompanied it. My beef stroganoff looked good on paper, but the sauce was not at all Russkie-tangy and the beef chunks were so tough that I only ate two of them. My grilled asparagus was the highlight of all the food, which I shared with Babs, and the pinot noir was pretty good.
Should we return, it will be for breffkust, which I know to be quiet and tasty.
Still, nice to be with Barb, whom I had not seen in quite a while, and catch up.

The USPS retroactively paid me 200 percent for every overtime hour beyond 12 hours in a day for the past two months. It turned out to be a pretty nice bonus.
I still haven't gotten the email from elderly about restocking the ot-22.
I need a capo the will work on my Gibson. I think the frets are worn enough that it's hard to capo without a buzz. No, I don't want new frets. I fret at any drastic change to the old thing.

No, I don't want new frets. I fret at any drastic change to the old thing. Maybe a crown & level would even things up, providing there is enough fret there. You probably have grooves worn. My HD-28 was like that & Konkoly took care of it, set it up, and it’s good for the long haul.
