Rain overnight. Rain today. The snow is gone and it should hit 60 here in the heartland. I think this is the heartland, anyway. Maybe we are just an artery or something. I know Iowa is the appendix of the nation. Anyway, good morning.

Mostly cloudy, up to the mid 40s. Spring is making a very slow climb up hill, and I welcome that.

Good morning, all.
This is Spring Break at Auburn University, yet here I am still at work. Yellow pollen is covering everything.
On the other hand, the weather is pleasant and the azaleas are blooming.

Couple inches of snow overnight -- just what we need, right? -- and more on the way from midweek through the weekend, they say. A trip to Traitor Ho's will be in order tomorrow.
Tired of winter.

Morning.
Today is the day. I am going to start a couple tomatoes. Not the full crop, just the first robins to test the waters.

When people start talking about starting tomatoes, I know spring is close.

Light dusting of snow, sun May poke through later in the day. Will probably squeeze in a little snowshoeing then.
For Marshall - Watched the latest “Last Of Us” episode last night. Other than some ridiculous medical stuff it was possibly a step in the right direction for this C- series.

After two springlike days, an inch of wet snow overnight, now melting. Bikes and kidz and walkers were out in forcew yesterday afternoon. Granddaughters were agitating to set up the trampoline, get out the kiddie pool and sidewalk chalk, etc. I keep reminding my family that we live in Michigan; I would not be the least bit surprised to get a March or April blizzard.

Linda and I took in a Brewer's preseason game on Friday here at the Goodyear ballpark. It's as close as I get to watching baseball. We had the 3rd row behind home plate. We went to the Litchfield art fair yesterday but found nothing compelling to buy other than ice cream. So today it'll be some shopping and maybe some time in the spa. The dogs haven't had a swim in the pool for a while. High of 72 today.

Don't know if I'll care enough for the next season. I saw her inject the antibiotic directly into the abdomen and I thought, "What would Terry say about that?" And then 2 hours later a guy on his death bed jumps up and becomes a ruthless soldier.

Reviews are in from Springsteen's concert in St. Paul last night, and they are raving about it. He played just short of three hours, did seven encores, and took a lot of the guitar solos for an audience of 18,000. Not bad for a 73-year-old guy.

That was a waste of some vintage Penicillin. The best thing she could have done was take out the stupid sutures she put in and let the wound drain. They must have picked up their medical advisor at the dollar store.

A damp day here in Beaver Town. The last remnants of my neighbors' snowmen have gone, replaced by about 10 heavy pieces of equipment. It appears that our little corner of suburbia will be getting some new plumbing. The house actually shook as something heavy chucked by.

Highs in the 30's all this week. The polar vortex is not our friend these days. Spring? HAH!
Have good ones.

As the saga of the limping ac continues, the AC company will replace the ailing blower fan tomorrow afternoon. That will free us up to leave here early Weds morning. Just in time for it to be sunny and warm here. The weather is mocking us. We plan on driving up to Stockton, then heading over to the coast as the NorCal and S OR passes are snow and ice laden. Should get home on Sat, where it will be cold and rainy. Did I mention the weather is mocking us?

Starting mid-morning and continuing into the afternoon, I've been "treated" today to frequent dull explosions of heavy, wet snow breaking off in big clumps from my tall trees in front and landing on my roof. Unsettling, literally.

Today's errand was going to the pharmacy for my meds and DaWife's eye drops. Had to clean heavy snow off the car first and when walking across the parking lot at Cub went to put may hand in a jacket pocket, full of wet snow.

Beautiful moon out there, maybe a day off full but otherwise perfect viewing conditions.
