Wow. I have my original Marine Band and Blues Harps from about 1967. They still sound good. I also have a 60’s era over the head neck thingie to be able to play guitar & harmonica together. I used to be the designated harp player when friends played together 100-150 years ago. One still has the price on the case—$4.95. I think they cost more now.
Happy day, y,all!

I have a harmonica around here somewhere. Never really learned to play it. How hard can it be?
Today is my last medical appointment until April. This is also the final one of 14 between me and Mr. H in a month. We will celebrate by going out to brunch at a fancy resort this Sunday.

Good morning, sitting here working on taxes, waiting for the snow to start. Forecast is for 3-7 inches.
I have one harmonica and 6 chainsaws!

I shall indeed have a happy harmonica day. I have a new Lee Oskar Low E harmonica to explore. Sounds quite mellow, unlike the standard E harmonica, which gets quite shrill.
Might return to shed building during a brief spell of sunny weather.

Very impressive slow bends.

If you play harp and sing. Harparatus can hold several harps and your vocal mic plus a separate mic for the harp. Very stable.

Half-valved harmonicas is the big new thing. They seem really hard to play, but WAY more flexible.

Last day for my paralegal. Sorry to see her go. One of those great friends I enjoy seeing every day. I will be doing her work and mine, at least for a while. I have done it before, but I was 8 years younger!

We are watching a feeding frenzy on the back deck. We buy those suet and seed cakes you see at the grocery store and hang them off the deck railing. They aren't sheltered in any way but still attract quite a few birds.
Today, snow is falling. It's probably just short of two inches now and birds are everywhere. Cardinals, juncos, house finches, a rose finch, starlings, sparrows, downy woodpecker, all vying for a turn at the seed cakes.
A very happy sight to behold.

I have a mini-harmonica that has Made in Occupied Japan stamped on it. No idea where I got it.
