But I repeat my self.
Started the morning off with a Wordle win. And coffee. I got the truck back from ford yesterday, and it seems to work, so that’s good. And we secured a rental car for our upcoming trip to Kauai. We were shocked by the prices, Costco travel quoted 22 hundred bucks for a three week rental on a subcompact, and that’s before a couple extra hundreds for taxes and othe charges. So we went with a new to us option, called TURO. With TURO you rent directly from some someone local. We are getting a 2017 Corolla for 1400 bucks, and the savings will buy a lot of papayas.
Today, Nita plans to do taxes. Hopefully it won’t sting too much, but we will see.

Good morning, all.
Those car rental prices are obscene.

Got my cover for the new book I’m writing. They knocked it out of the park, at a reasonable price. It’s always a big thrill. I’ll post a pic when the book is ready to go, which won’t be a for a while yet.
Our youngest is here today to move the last of her stuff out. We are reshuffling some rooms, and I’ll finally get the futon out of my guitar/writing room, and have a bit more space. Tomorrow I get to dismantle the bowflex in preparation, which will be…fun. Not.

We are getting a 2917 Corolla fir 1400 bucks, and the savings will buy a lot of papayas. I'm trying to picture what a Toyota Corolla would look like 894 years from now.

Good morning. There was a little rain overnight, it's stopped now but everything is wet. The bass has been calling me this morning, might have to play with it later. I wish it would warm up, so the furnace could quit running, so I wouldn't have to keep the guitars in the humidor.
Laundry has been calling too, I'm trying to ignore it.

I am trying my best to put the memory of yesterday behind me, a perfectly awful workday because of computer problems that seemed to feed on each other and leave me a mumbling, grumbling mess, and able to do only about half of my usual tasks.
This morning, everything seems back to normal and working properly, thank goodness.
Sunny, dry, the snowdrifts are slowwwwwwwwwwly diminishing.

It apparently snowed in waterloo / cedar falls last night or early this morning. Drove up and I am spending the day at the UNI Dome with the FRC team. Today is practice, tomorrow morning competition starts and runs through Saturday. You can learn more about them at this link: www.iowacityrobotics.org/index.html

Just found out that a neighbor who is on our HOA's finance committee with me and two other people is moving out of state to assisted living near family. No surprise, as he and his wife are close to 90 and she's not doing well. That will leave a big hole in knowledge of neighborhood history and they're very nice people besides. They'll be at the monthly HOA dineout tonight, which I didn't know was also a farewell for them. Glad that I already decided to blow off choir rehearsal and go to the dinner. We don't sing at a service until 4/2 and I already know the music. I'm still hesitant to drive at night due to seeing some phantom rays through streetlights and headlights. The restaurant is a half mile away and easy to get to.

A snow pile at a Target parking lot here is getting a lot of attention, ever since someone planted a Target shopping cart at its summit.

It's along highway 20. I didn't know it was robotics time in Iowa schools already. Very cool. And very cool that you are involved.

Winding down, long day. Met for coffee with a former coworker and talked for almost three hours. Most important part of the the day - these two are two years old already!
