It’s all about plastics for reinforcing this proud mom’s nest outside the Maple Grove Trader Joe’s. Just a short step to carbon fiber. (We were walking in and heard cheeping, she was not too happy about the traffic.)

Great, instead of just saying trash on the ground, now I can enjoy seeing it in trees too.

When Dexter was around the nests at our house were balls of husky fur in the trees.
About this Maple Grove mom: Good for her. Our trash is another bird's treasure.

The plastic may offer better heat retention and wind block.

No need to build a nest every year. That one will last 50,000 years. Smart bird.
