Renee, sometimes the bad stuff can be a little much.

The hundred maples are budding red. Alien ships visited Claypool today. They watched from a distance as I delivered mail. "Curious beings, these earthlings. I wonder what he's putting in those boxes?" There will soon be snigglets (ugly ducklings) on Palestine Lake. Hoosier lavender fields. France for the imaginative.

John that looks so much like it could be northern France where incidentally the famed Paris Roubaix bicycle race will be held Sunday.

John that looks so much like it could be northern France where incidentally the famed Paris Roubaix bicycle race will be held Sunday. I thought the same thing. I should probably have kept snapping images because as I turned to the right (the above image is taken through my windshield as I'm coming out of a driveway) the whole 40 acres was quite noticeably striped purple and green. The stripes viewed diagonally were possibly more dramatic than the one I took. It's 40 acres of those stripes. I watched last summer as they harvested wheat, they baled the straw -- leaving the straw in big round plastic covered bales that formed a wall down the center of the field for what must be at least 100 yards. Then they planted. Last week's brown became this week's purple and green.

btw, the Laflamme family lives on route 72. Good thing too. It keeps them far away from the Fannin family on route 71.

Took apart a pandemic backyard trampoline in a light snowstorm this afternoon. The market is saturated with them and after futile attempts to sell at almost nothing $$, it is to be given away to one of his grad students.
Next project will probably be a backyard swimming pool he made out of a stock tank.
