72 degrees and stormy out there. Lots of thunder & lightning. It’s supposed to be 32 tonight. Big drop. At some point we could see inch & a half hail, according to WGN. Stay dry. Wear a hard hat.

Good morning
27F-38F cloudy When I looked at the temps on my phone it said 78F-80F WTF, Oh that's Key West.
I have my first refret to do today on the new bench. It should do just fine as I have it level and rock steady. My old bench weighted so much it didn't matter. 300lb of welded angle iron with a heavy top doesn't move easily. Once I get all the frets in I always take a break before trimming, leveling and dressing them. So I'll go do errands.
Have a good day, play nice, don't fight.

Well I survived another night of storms.
Last night at 9:15 I got a text from Amazon saying they were going to deliver my order in a few minutes, I was next on the route. We were right in the middle of a thunderstorm, with hail at that time.
I checked the Amazon tracking app, and the delivery vehicle was about 6 miles away, on the north side of Center Point.
Nothing happened for some time, and then the delivery vehicle started moving south, the wrong direction. I tracked it all the way to the Amazon sorting facility, east of Iowa City.
Don't know what happened, but they didn’t deliver. They also never delivered my previous order. Not good for business.

Good morning. My daughters will be travelling to the Galapagos Islands later today. In our house, we're all creeping towards recovery from Covid. It's not bad. It just hangs on.
Keep on the sunny side.

We’re all now down to nothing but a hack, Don. Which is tiring by itself. About to head up for my writing session, then guitar and a workout. I don’t know how I keep up with this demanding lifestyle.

I just got a call from my B-I-L. He has been hacked and the hacker changed passwords on his financial accounts.
Make sure you are using two-factor authentication on your accounts!

I just got a call from my B-I-L. He has been hacked and the hacker changed passwords on his financial accounts. Make sure you are using two-factor authentication on your accounts! I use Sentinel Authenticator everywhere that supports 3rd party 2FA. It’s way more secure than SMS text. Dongles can also be very secure. I also use the mSecure password manager for all my logins. Passwords are encrypted, random alphanumeric strings at least eighteen characters long. I also have security tools installed on all my devices as well as our local area network. I’m not immune from attack but pretty darn close.

Got home from the ophthalmologist yesterday in time to do the one hour church Zoom discussion, followed by a different social Zoom chat that lasted over 2 hours. I was Zoomed out. Plus the chat was not very uplifting. One person whose cat died and her senior complex is on lockdown because of what is probably Norovirus. Another who was headed for an emergency eye appointment. Long story there about injuring the eye in a tornado a year ago. Another who just got out of the hospital. Another who is depressed, but at least managed to get onto the chat from bed. Admittedly, we are mostly old farts and expect to have our ups and downs, but not quite so many downs.
I ordered new glasses today. The doctor says that I don't really need them. That is true, but I didn't get the far vision in both eyes that I told her I wanted. The non-dominant eye is more mid-range. I will never know whether I am an outlier or somebody didn't transcribe my choice correctly. Either way, I can live with the results, but want the best vision possible and don't mind wearing glasses to get it. In fact, for me progressives are easier to deal with than readers.
We will head to Trader Joe's soon to restock cereals and wine and pick up a couple of things to go with our Easter leg of lamb. Out for Thai food later at a place that is new to us.
