?
I was looking at a pair of Yamaha speakers on behalf of the Second Wind Band (a small wind band I am a member of). My Sweetwater guy said the Yamahas were good speakers, but he recommended that I also take a look at some QSC speakers the Sweetwater crew was very fond of.
I'm trying to recall if QSC speakers came up in the speaker discussions here and, if so, what the verdict was.
(we, the band, want a pair of easy to transport speakers to use for a vocalist (usually me) in small to medium rooms (community centers, assisted living social rooms, 30-40 people tops). The QSC speaker Sweetwater guy recommended was the QSC CP8 (8" active speaker, 1000 watts, 20lbs).

Had a set of powered QSC 1000w 1-15" 2-10" + tweeters for Creek House. Loved them but those were house speakers one would not want to move them around.

They're great. Had a set early in Chatham Street. 2 8 inch ones and a big bass module. And then we had a small mixer board that everything ran into. Might have also had a 10 incher as a monitor.
Eventually though we got tired of hauling it all and having to set it up and take it down so we moved to a much simpler 3 channel amp for Christal and a small Valvetrain guitar amp for me and gave the QSC to a local concert hall.
But yeah, they're great speakers.

We have a QSC GX5 power amp in our rack. It’s been great. We don’t have QSC speakers because some farmer up by the Canadian border suggested Carvin PM153s which have also been great but they aren’t made by QSC.

It’s been several years but I’ve had both the 8” and the 10” 1st generation. They are ridiculously loud and clean for their size.
If you are planning on 2 speakers and a mixer maybe take a look at the EV Evolve 30M or the bigger 50M. Hard to beat.

Every setup I've ever heard with QSC speakers sounded great.
I think their powered speakers are now the standard for the industry.

You would not go wrong with QSC powered speakers. The 8" K8.2 sound surprisingly good and are very portable. While a little heavier the K10.2 are very very good.
I do own EV 12" powered speakers (older style pre-dsp and in a wooden box instead of plastic) and one of the newer Z series with DSP (that I use for a monitor) and I really like all of them. To my ear they sound on par with the QSC but were a couple hundred dollars apiece cheaper.
Your mileage may vary.
