I developed a dispassion for leave blowers when we live in town. Much noiser than a good old fashioned rake, and there are times of the year when you hear them in town all day long. But I bought one yesterday.
The battery for me EGO electric weed eater died right after the three-year warranty so I went to what I call Dub's Hardware, because he patronizes that place, in Cedar Rapids to get a new one. Those people are just great for people like me who lack common sense. "Instead of getting a new battery", she said, "why don't you get at leaf blower? It's fifty dollars less, and comes with the battery you need." So there you go. It's great to shop at a hardware store run by people who know what they are doing instead of 18 your old kids whose knowledge doesn't extend beyond knowing what aisle something is in.
I went into Menards later to look at some lawn furniture and there was a display of wide-brimmed hats. The sign said "chemical-free technology, cools when wet".
There's a reason why when it comes to choices of stores the former one comes first.

First a banjo. Now a leaf blower. You are scaring me, Todd.
