Don't get your bloomers in a bunch, I just needed a clever title.

I quit wearing bloomers a few years ago.
I read about the kid. I shudder to think what would have happened to his sister had he not been there. He deserves a new wrist rocket. I have one. They are powerful!

Do you think a wooden slingshot could pass through airport security? (Asking for a friend.)

I’m pretty sure ghost slingshots are illegal.

That kid was a great shot.
I bought a target-grade slingshot along with a box of clay pellets last year with plans to do a little rabbit plunking in the backyard. I couldn't hit a damn thing and the plan went to the same place so many of my other plans have gone to.

A Wrist Rocket is illegal in some places. Those things can hurt like hell using a clay ball and deadly using a steel ball. The range is overstated, 100 yd using a 3/8" steel ball for a effective hit. While the speed is quite understated, 430 fps @ 30 yd, using a 3/8" steel ball for a damaging hit. Pretty much like a .22 short. You can even get a arrow adaptor.

I have heard that some hunt rabbits using them. I wear mine in a holster at all times. You never know when a desperado or a rabbit will appear. As is true with everything else you might need, they are available on Amazon for $20 or less. They are illegal in the following places: Massachusetts. Duluth, Minnesota. St. Louis, Missouri. New Jersey. New York. Columbus, Ohio. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rhode Island I expected them to be outlawed in NY. Some can openers are illegal there. Rhode Island made the illegal list because the state is so small the projectiles fly into neighboring states and hit those residents.

They are illegal in Duluth because all shots are either uphill or downhill. Uphill you can't hit shit and downhill you always aim too high. Sideways doesn't exist, you have to visit there to understand.

In the UK, slingshots are usually called catapults. Amongst other uses, anglers use them for casting bait for carp and other fish. Using ball bearings as ammo, fancy catapults can be a formidable weapon.

True street red went to anyone who got surgical tubing instead of using inner tubes.

I had a couple wrist rockets when I was kid. We'd ride our bikes to the Isaac Walton League and dig up lead slugs out of the dirt rifle range embankment. My Dad had a mold he'd used to make jig heads (people used lead for that in those days) so when he wasn't home my brother and I would sneak it out of the house, build a little fire and use it to make slingshot ammo.

When my kids were in high school they had this monster sling shot where one guy would hold each end and the third guy would pull it back with the load. (Like a pumpkin or watermelon) and it would launch them amazing distances.
