Very nice!
I wish I were better schooled in closed position chords like that.

Those two and the below guy are playing tomorrow at an intriguing sounding brewery in Lowertown St. Paul that is news to me, called MetroNOME, apparently with no cover charge, presented by the Minnesota Guitar Society. I had not heard of any of these performers before today, either, but they all appear to be Twin Cities-based. Russ, you familiar with these players, and/or Sam's local guitar builder, Tim Reede, another fellow I was unaware of?

Miss Myra and Fitzgerald Palmer were playing "Feelin' My Way" by Eddie Lang and Carl Kress on a D'Angelico A-1 and a Duff F5.

2 ear trumpet labs mics in the Carter Vintage showroom. Nice.
I wonder if the other guitars on the wall resonate in approval.
I’ve been in Carter’s. Scary place !

They played at the same place we play in New London, The Little Theater Auditorium. Sadly I was unable to go but saw video. They were great.
Bill I’ve been to Tim Reede’s shop and gotten to know him, he is a good guy and builds great instruments including archtops.

Tim teaches at the Red Wing Lutherie school and is CNC savvy. He is able to rough in his plates on the machine saving a ton of hand destroying grunt work.

The “plates” are the carved top and back. The terminology come from the violin making world where the top and back have been called plates since time immemorial.
