Cool & Canadian smoky. You can actually smell the smoke in the air. Geese, ducks, egrets, and cranes are all on the pond. Everyone is quiet except the big mouthed geese.

Good morning
43F-72 sunny
It was so cold around here last night I turned on the heat.
Shop time in a warm shop and then maybe a shopping trip with Me Darling Wife.
EDIT: Got a collector that wants to look at my pile of Harmonys. I dug around and found 6 Harmony, 2 Stellas, a Silvertone and 2 baritone ukes. I might find a soprano uke buried deep somewhere.

Up, coffeed and Wordle was easy today. Off to breakfast at Bannings with the daughter unit and Nita’s folks in an hour or so. Bike ride or walk later. Should be a nice day, high of 81 forcast. Keep the rubber side down ya’ll.

Good morning, all.
Cloudy and cool by our standards this morning. I'm about to head out the door for a jog (I've lost over 20 pounds in the past few months!), then probably mow the grass if the rain holds off.

Good morning -- I've been spending the better part of the past hour enjoying a long e-mail from Elderdottir, who along with her hubby has been in Italy since Monday on a fly fishing vacation (both are quite accomplished -- hubby even works as a guide in NC). Sounds like they are having a fabulous time, hiking miles each day (with a guide) to reach remote streams in the Dolomites. The photos she attached are spectacular. They are staying in Orta San Giulio, below, in the Piedmont region. This morning, they were to board a flight in Milan and jet off to Berlin, where hubby's 93-year-old grandmother lives (hubby is a Brit by birth, his mom a German, dad a Brit). Visiting Grams was the impetus for the trip as she is getting on in years, and hubby's dad was gracious enough to use his accumulated biz travel miles to cover their flights, while I offered a cash contribution. The food, wine and hospitality look fabulous and the scenery is jaw-dropping. I'm very happy for them.

Wow Bill.
Still in Chicago, wish I had time to see Marshall. My kid here bought a Charvell solid body on Craigs List and we picked it up yesterday. Good guitar. We are headed to Chicago Music Exchange today for accessories. First visit for me. Excited.
Graduation tomorrow.

I added some more photos to my O.P. -- all of a sudden, I have a craving for wood-fired pizza!

Beautiful morning! I survived Todd's open mic last night, it was kind of like an Iowa Ijam. Todd, Amana Joe, Joe and Debie, Phil, Mark, Joy and me, plus a few other locals.
I had breakfast this morning at the Family Restaurant and then stopped at Fareway for a few things. Jam at West Music this afternoon, 2:00-4:00.

My wife and I went tile shopping for the kitchen backsplash yesterday. We found some strong possibilities, then had an early dinner in a French bistro place on Park Avenue South. I did some organizing and grocery shopping this morning. Now out of gas, I may settle in with the offspring for some for some WWII drama series she has been watching. The Brooklyn Half Marathon is just about over and we can get our streets back. Why they can't do this in another borough and rename it is beyond me. They close all these through streets and jam up this entire section of Brooklyn. I'd hate to have an emergency to deal with during one of these. Currently in Brooklyn, NY: 62° and rain.

That looks like a great trip, Bill. I'm glad they're able to do it, how cool.
It was a nice day here. The weather was perfect. I stopped at a Cedar Rapids festival where I'll be playing tomorrow morning and all kinds of people were out enjoying the outdoors. I spent lots of time outside talking to people, my favorite thing to do. I spent an hour visiting with the parking lot attendants, the conversation was a lot of fun. It's amazing, when you are single, how many people you can meet if you are willing to put yourself out there and be friendly. This world is full of nice people who like to chat.
