Alan, see this from PHThomas:
Sorry folks I have been out of the loop on the upcoming festivities. We (the wife (Deb) and I, along with Paleo) would love to invite you all to 1312 A Ave., Vinton, IA for a pre-party supper and super get together for all of you early arrivals!!!
We are not far from the Cobblestone, and there will be some loose meat sandwiches and other culinary delights to keep us from going hungry! You provide the lively conversation and we will have fun! This will all happen on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 5:00 PM and go until the wee hours of the morning...okay, just kidding. We go to bed around 11:00 PM. If you stay later, just lock up as you leave! After all, this is Iowa! Hope to see you all!

I had to switch flights so I will be arriving at CID around 12:30 or so Thursday. Rather than read 8 pages (I am still at work) to find it, where & what was happening on Thursday afternoon? I need to call the CS and get me a room one of these days but have been procrastinating. I hope to pack light with a guitar and a backpack. Any early semi-reliable weather forecasts? I don't want to over or under dress as I get cold easily these days. Thur-Sun looks to be in the upper to mid-80s, no rain expected until Sunday.

I thought I'd put up the itinerary:
Thursday: 5:00 pm supper at the PHThomas domicile. This is a few blocks from the Cobblestone.
Friday: It might be on your own day. Not sure yet. 5:00: Gather at the Farmer's Merc in Garrison. Food will be brought in to see if the Iowa version of BBQ passes Alan's muster. $15.00 a plate. We'll also pass the hat around to pay Nick for the use of his place that evening.
Saturday: Many of you have breakfast at 218. 11:00: Meet at train depot in town. 5:00: Eat Mexican at a place whose name I don't know. But it's the same downtown location it's always been. (Former La Reyna's) 7:00: Concert at the Farmer's Merc. After concert: Things continue in Cobblestone lobby.
Sunday: Breakfast at 218. Sad departures.

The PHThomas domicile is located at 1312 A Ave. Vinton, IA. You will find a mid-century red house (single story) with White trim. I would say that we will have the porch light on, but then it will be light when you all arrive, so it may not show up very well.
We look forward to seeing those that can make it in early, and Paleo and I along with my wife Deb, will try to make sure that you do not go away hungry.

We'll be driving down Thursday afternoon. That will be a first for us. In our working days we always came down on Friday.

Oh, I forgot--should arrive at or before dinnertime on Friday. (I never seem to get out of the house before noon.)

Don’t know if I will make it to Phil’s gathering. It is dependent on how work goes that day. You will be stuck with Sue and I for the Friday night through Sunday activities.

I will be there. Arrival time maybe Thursday evening, maybe Friday afternoon, dependent on family work and school schedules (and dependent on cold symptoms, which seem to be waning)
Bringing some Michigan brews, if I can dig through the stacks of hazy IPAs and overhopped fruity concoctions and find some real beer.

I've got a sampler 12 pack of beer from the New Glaras brewery in Wisconsin ready to go.

There's plenty of Bush Light, made from real Iowa corn around, if anyone wants me to pick up some of that.

I'm trying to come up with something fancy to put in the can holders I have that Rob likes so well.
