Hot, muggy pre-dawn morn. Which makes me mourn.

I was supposed to be off yesterday but they called me in (two unexpected call-ins I had to cover). But today, after 22 straight days of work, I am off. I'm going to take IceSha to the woods for a long walk. Yesterday I saw three young kids walking across a cornfield. I'm not sure why, but it really struck me as something. I don't know what, exactly, but sometimes that's the nature of art. It strikes something we can't quite verbalize so we art instead (and, yes, I just used "art" as a verb. Sue me.)

That would have grabbed me too, John.
Good morning, folks.

Back among the living. We both had bronchitis and have slept away the week. We are actually feeling ALIVE this morning. My advice is avoid bronchitis.
So, did I miss anything this week? Probably not, huh?
It’s chilly here.
I would call the photo Children of the Corn. Maybe that has been used. We art! I hope that doesn’t catch on.

On my daily post-luncheon walk through the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan yesterday, I espied this geological anomaly.
Have a good Friday, and solve any mysteries you may encounter.
LJ, glad to see you're feeling better.

Good morning.
49F-78F sunny
Slept like the dead, didn't wake up at my usual times, in fact didn't wake up until Simon headbutted me to let him snuggle. I have a Doc visit, Labs. Then a client at 11.00 another bridge to fit and 4 Cheat pies to make. 2 Orange, 2 Limeade. 1 Orange and 1 Limeade will go to a party tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to cut the other two in half and make 2 pies being 1 half Limeade and 1 half Orange. One of which will go next door to Shawn & Angie. Being freezer pies I should be able to transfer half a pie. I know I keep going on about the Cheat Pies, Because the are SO good and SO easy to make. From fridge to freezer is about 10 minutes. We can discuss store bought crusts later.

The grandkids will go visit other friends in town today. We’ve been on the go since they got here. A day of rest today.

I just realized it is Friday. I thought it was Saturday. There is little difference between the two, I suppose.

If my first wife hadn't died this would be my 50th anniversary. Like Evan, I was blessed with a second marriage but I still, on occasion, wonder about the memories Shari and I might have created.

Partly sunny and breezy.
Recovering from the horrible ordeal of two days without internet in our home. Seems the modem went out whilst I was switching the power off and on whilst preparing an electrical box for a ceiling fan. Thanks to a friendly AT&T technician (and an overly chatty customer service rep) we now have a shiny new modem and faster service (which Dawn will enjoy for streaming shows).
Project for today is fascia boards on the shed. I took the tarp off the roof, thinking I would install the metal roofing today, then realized I hadn't installed fascia boards before tarping the shed for the winter. This will involve ripping long boards at an angle and cutting miters with a hand saw.

There was a slightly older boy who ran off to the right (I suspect he may have been trying to retrieve a runaway dog) and another small girl to the left who had made her way almost back to the yard. The limitations of timing and a lousy phone forced an editing choice.

Good morning. My original plan for today was to ride bike, but as the morning has progressed it seems to be getting more hazy again. The air quality was marginal for strenuous outdoor activities earlier and it seems to be getting worse. I've got other things that need to get done, so I'll postpone biking for today and try again tomorrow.
