Not !
HBO just changed ( couple weeks ago) to MAX. I have to download an App to my TV. Pain in the butt. I have to have my HBO password. It doesn’t work.
Then I try again and it says I can use my iPhone. I try that & it works.
Ok. We try to watch something. It works. But there’s no way to turn on closed captions. I try everything. Eventually I click on the “help” icon on the TV. It pops a QR code on the screen, and you need to scan it with your phone and then Safari on the phone pops up with the help program.
From there it tells me how to scroll on the TV and find the Captions options. Finally after a few minutes I’m able to work this out.
Just crazy stuff.

Yes. Hotel TV is not working. Loading up Max without screwing up everyone else's connection in the household has been a challenge. A failed one at that.

From what I've read, all media companies are hurting financially. The move to streaming has not panned out as expected. Too many streaming options to capture sufficient subscriptions to replace the steady cable TV revenue.

Too many streaming options to capture sufficient subscriptions to replace the steady cable TV revenue. Sounds a lot like what has happened to the music industry with the advent of streaming services. The only way to make any money these days for an independent musician is through touring and merch. That does not work well for most of us smaller local musicians. Working for tens of dollars!

Max is included with my service. There was nothing to download or do. It was just there.

You have cable then.
We don’t have a cable TV package any more. We have Xfinity internet. And internet TV thru Apple TV ( No monthly) and YouTube TV for channels. Netflix is an App, and HBO is an App on the Apple TV device.
What confused me on the download, is when it was asking for a password, it wanted my iTunes password, not my HBO password.
Crazy stuff

Our toddler grandson's name is Max. Our son has a subscription to HBOMAX. With the name change, he was surprised to suddenly be receiving emails from "Max."
