Good morning.
61F-84F sunny Looks like another nice day.
I'm upright with only a slight list to Port so I'll see if I can get on with my normal Saturday routine. For those that I haven't bored yet I had a bad case of vertigo the last few days off and on.
I have people bringing interesting guitars for me to inspect today. Might report on this later.

Warm with a slight breeze.
Plan to watch the Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying this morning and then get things done around the house.
Hope you folks have better plans than me.

Just in time while we have no kitchen sink for another three weeks! Our en suite bathroom shower drain suddenly clogged yesterday afternoon when my wife showered. My morning shower yesterday had no issues with the drainage. The real kicker is that, in this 1939 building, the drain in this stall shower is connected to the bathtub drain in the hall bath on the other side of the wall. Now, when the shower is running and not draining efficiently, the water backs up into the tub in the hall bath as well. And the tub fills up when showering in there. What architectural genius designed this system in the 1930s?
Of course, this occurred yesterday and the plumbers can't arrive until Monday morning.
But the weather is supposed to be lovely today: currently sunny and 77°, AQI 29. I may have to go out somewhere and get away from this mess.
Have a good day, all.
PS: Bill, my daughter is right now glued to the flat screen watching the F1 qualifying race. She says Hamilton has a good shot at pole position and David Croft agrees, and either she is right or David Croft is just as delusional as she is.
She also would like to know what you think of the new tire rule for qualifying.
ON EDIT: She says she is not delusional—she was right!

Good morning. I’m back from a walk through the national forest. I started a little before sunrise. We will have fifties to 80s today. Lovely. Enjoy your day.

It’s possible the water has been coming up little by little in the other bath unnoticed. As the clog has gotten worse, it has come up more until finally it becomes very noticeable. Plumbers will make short work of it but it’s the wait that is a pain.
I have repairmen coming Monday, too, but to replace the broken spring on my super-heavy garage door that broke yesterday. Luckily, it broke after I took the car out because there is no moving that door until it is fixed.
Today looks like a good one. So far!🤞

Good morning. I’m back from a walk through the national forest. I started a little before sunrise. We will have fifties to 80s today. Lovely. Enjoy your day. Are you in Flagstaff? Up, drinking coffee and watching the Tour. Brisket tacos last night were well ripeceived. Fun seeing the kids, who appear to be doing well. Nothing much on tap for today, mayby wash the truck and a bike ride. Mike Wordle 763 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨🟩 ⬜⬜⬜🟨🟩 ⬜🟩🟩⬜🟩 ⬜🟩🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

I am happy to report that Mr. H is down from the roof by way of the ladder. He took advantage of the cloudy morning to inspect things and to measure and take photos of the atrium skylight cover. As I previously mentioned, the cover has 23 small holes from Monday's hail storm. He may or may not do the job himself. Problem is that the material, usually used for patio covers, carports, etc. comes in 12 foot long sheets and we have no safe way to bring one home.
So now we'll have some juice, get started an hour late on our walk, and have omelets on our return. Meanwhile the clouds have moved on. There is a 60% chance of rain later today, but we'll be looking for shade on the walk.

Another pleasant summer day here - 58 to 88. I came home early yesterday thinking I could get in a dog walk and guitar time. My son, whose new job does not start for a couple months, was here with a truck load of bark dust. That started my yard work afternoon and evening. I am glad to have it some of it done but my pen pushing hands and office chair back are telling me I need to either stay in better condition.

Woke up earlier than usual. It was a gorgeous early morning with rainbow dew and birds singing their beaks off. I thought about taking an early morning walk. Then I thought I would bring my camera and capture some shots of the morning flowers with their glistening petals. Then check out the new wildflower garden the city put in the park across the street. See if they had more butterflies than I do. Then I fell back asleep while I was thinking about all the things I could do. But, the thoughts were very pleasurable.

I had yet another 13.5 hour work day. But I did find out that, though by no means does it guarantee that I will win the bid for it, my efforts to open the regular position in Bourbon were successful and I will soon be bidding on it. (it would mean a 20 minute commute, but a regular route with regular hours, a day off each week, and a finish time that gets me home before 8PM)
On the Farida front, I'm finding that I have little trouble playing with mediums. And the sound is, so far, worth it.

I know I could look it up, but what are the scale lengths on those guitars?

On the Farida, are you using mediums on both? Standard tuning? I know I could look it up, but what are the scale lengths on those guitars? They're both short scale and I have identical exp17 on both. Standard tuning. And, yes they fight back a little -- particularly my right hand (I must fret very close to the frets because even though I play a lot, I don't develop much in the way of calluses.
