Another Monday! I just learned that low-carb wraps don't fold well, especially when you over-stuff them. Time for coffee.

Good morning. It’s 54° in Flagstaff with a projected high in the high 80s. We’re expecting a monsoon storm in early afternoon. Those are often very dramatic with lightning and thunder and other theatrics.
All is well. Enjoy your day.

Sunny, hazy, gonna get hot (by Michigan standards)
Back from Clawcamp. Very useful - 5 guys and the instructor in a circle. Lots of fine-tuning of technique. Dan Levenson is a great teacher with a sense of humor and encyclopedic knowledge of old time music. Lots of constructive criticism (Don't look at your fretting hand!) with lots of encouragement embedded in it. It was heartening to hear other players struggle as much as I did with new stuff, and heartening to know that I have been doing some stuff right all along. I left feeling like I might actually be able to play clawhammer banjo. Most of these guys live nearby, and there will be opportunity for me to jam with people of similar skill level.

Good morning
65F-90F sunny
Me Darlin Wife is home and I think since she is still on vacation will treat today as a Sunday. Take back her rental car, go to breakfast and just maybe shopping also. I will not need to be buying pop or snack foods for quite a while, if ever, my kitchen table and floor around it is covered with bags of the stuff. They didn't bring back any real groceries.
EDIT: Yes they did bring back some real food. They put it in the fridge, a chicken, some veggie burger and maybe some other things but they left the hot dogs behind. They were all beef Members Mark dogs. These are the ones Sam's Club and Costco sell in their food areas. Best doggone doggie dogs money can buy. Dang! We are going to Sam's Club today, I want hot dogs and tater salad for dinner.

Nothing special going on today. The song Eric and I recorded yesterday ( Midnight Hour blues) got over 150 plays on Soundcloud overnight. Primary listeners were in Saudi Arabia. That was surprising.

Garage door spring repair scheduled for today. I hate waiting for repairmen but there isn’t a lot of choice. Hot & dry again here. Should be in the 90s all week & maybe hit 100 by week’s end. July.

RAGBRAI report. SIL and his brother had a good ride yesterday, 77 miles from Souix City to Storm Lake, and their camping gear was there waiting for them.
There are 29,000 registered riders signed up to ride all week, they pay $50.00 and can ship 50 lbs of gear from town to town. That's 1,450,000 lbs of gear moved every day.
I'll be off to Vinton soon, normal errands and I will be looking for a sweet corn stand. It's that time of year in Iowa!

Waiting for the predicted rain to show up - nothing yet.
I bought and smoked a brisket last weekend while my wife was at the beach. It turned out well. As soon as she tasted it she remarked how good it was and started naming people we should give it to. Bless her heart.

Well crap. It's a little after 3:00 and I appear to be awake. Gee, if started the daily when I woke up in the middle of the night I could probably get it started every day. Seems I’m always up around 2:30am. it has been worse because I got my first bought of poison ivy ever in my life. I’ve never had a reaction to exposure, but apparently an exposure about 2 weeks ago has blossomed on my legs and arms. (I understand that those that have never had a reaction can take 2-3 weeks the first time they are going to have a reaction) It is miserable and has woken me up in the middle of the night. I can resist the urge to itch but most topicals don’t do much. Boy, I love my life.

I know you are wondering if the garage door repairman ever showed up and what the results were. Well, he showed up at 10 AM, fixed the door by replacing the broken springs with unbroken springs which are heavier and stronger. He accepted my check, heh heh, and was back in his big truck and on his way to help others by 10:45 AM. All in all it was what I would call a successful morning. The rest of the day is basically a blur.
