You must. My IPad seems to have passed on. I guess I will need to shop for another. Or live without. Oh well, there are worse things in life. Enjoy the day.

Good morning. Today we will be hiking up around 9000 feet in the land of spruce and fir. It’s a beautiful morning. Younger daughter recently returned from Europe and tested positive for Covid today. She is the last one in the family to get it. It’s mild. All is well and I hope you all have a good days.

Getting hot here, the next few day will not be great for outdoor activities.
Music practice this afternoon and there's a story going round that Todd will join us for some tunes today! Maybe I better do some cleaning.

Hot and hazy. Late morning hike planned. We'll be running up to Kalipsell this weekend to catch a Marty Stuart show at a newish college amphitheater there.

Hot and hazy. More smoke headed this way. My sympathies are with the RAGBRAI cyclists.
Busily preparing for daughter and granddaughter moving in with us temporarily. Moving stuff between two residences and a storage unit. It is unavoidable that some objects will be moved two or three times.

Just spent an hour digging around in my PC trying to find the copy of that album cover Kate did with all our faces on it. I know it's there I ran across it not too long ago in some obscure folder.

Good morning
67F-91F sunny.
After a week Up Nort! DaWife wants to just stay home and do nothing. The girls were not going to let her do that at the lake as there is so much they want to do and if they drag Grandma along they can probably get her to pay for it. She did refuse to pay for horse riding.
I would like to get out as I've been pretty much at home all week, kinda couldn't help it. Bet if I said we should go pick out a nice big steak for dinner I could get her out for a while, and while I'm feeling up to it.
Wonder if we'll need the AC today?

Hot and sticky with high ozone levels the next few days.
I just edited a long piece about blockbuster books ready to hit the market, the biggest (literally) being "My Name Is Barbra," by you know who. They are printing a million copies, it runs over 1,000 pages and is priced at just under $50.
Sly Stone has written a memoir, too.

I slogged through David McCullough's book about Truman that was 1,000+ pages. But there are very few people that I have 1,000 pages of interest in. Barbra isn't one of them.

I'm thinking you would flounder for adjectives for our weather here. 98-100 and mouldering.

If actually rained yesterday and today. That this is surprising in Vancouver says much about how the summer has gone.
Had a weird problem with dictation on my macbook. For some reason, it wanted to insert the world “Emily”, “Remind”, and “Oh My,” all over the place, whether I was talking or not. Got on a chat with Apple support, and they had me reboot in safe mode, which reset some bits somewhere, and it’s now fine. So back to writing the next book tomorrow.
Other than that, watching the rain fall and actually feeling grateful.
