Amen ! I converted from Coffee to tea about 10-12 years ago. Never went back. Make a pot in the morning and drink it on & off all day. Presently I put 2 bags Ear Grey & 3 bags Oolong tea in a coffee pot and let the percolator pour 10 cups of scalding water on them.
Yum.

On Sundays at church, after the band practices before the service, I have to go off and find a cup of hot caustic fluid to flush the morning gunk in my throat.

Would sun tea be a thing for anyone these days?

I cannot abide hot tea. ☕️ Toss it in the harbor!

I like both tea and coffee. Straight up no added foofiness. But I'm lazy and tend to just stick with the Harney & Sons sachets. We have one of those instant almost boiling water spigots at the sink so super easy. The morning cuppa is usually just green tea and after dinner I like their orange cinnamon spice blend

I usually keep a room temp case of this around at the office for sipping. Got me off the Diet Cokes a few years back

I have an iced tea maker, and I have a sun tea jug. They're still available, but you have to hunt for them. Anyway, the problem I have with either brewing over ice (as the iced tea maker does) or sun tea is I get very cloudy, opaque tea when I do so, like brown if brown was a liquid type. I have no idea why it's not crystal clear like I would prefer. I've tried adjusting the brew time and the number of tea bags used, all to no avail.
Any suggestions?

Ice tea. Our favorite hot tea is Lady Grey, don't know if she is related to the Earl. Never liked sugar in tea but do adore a little milk. And a few Lorna Doone for dipping.

We drink sun tea much of the year. No problem making it in Tucson. We add fresh mint when our plant is doing well. Otherwise, mint extract. When it's relatively cold outside, we switch to hot tea. We have an electric tea kettle, which is not an easy thing to find in the U.S. Brew it in a pot. One or two pots in the morning and we're done. We buy cheap generic black tea bags. We used to get a very nice Irish breakfast tea from TJ's, but it changed a few years ago and no longer has the rich flavor.

My fave iced tea is made from hibiscus 🌺 dried flower petals. So good. We buy in bulk from the local Mexican grocery. They call it Jamaica.

Vivian makes a brew from dried hibiscus, rose hips, and mint that we enjoy iced in the summer. It's curiously refreshing and packed with vitamin C. Don't spill it on your summer white tee shirts or button-downs.
