Justin Johnson, he of the the three string shovel guitar fame. (Look it up, pretty wild.) One of the few Dead songs that I liked. He gets a walking bass going with his thumb at times.

A compromise between getting better access and not losing space in the body. And mostly, it just looks cool.

Very nice, funky cover. I like it. Cool-looking guitar; Cort, so it must be affordable.

Now if the nut width was 41mm instead of 45mm I might be interested.

Cort has gone somewhat upscale. Still, not a bad price, considering current prices of guitars in general.

Somehow I’ve always thought of Cort guitars (GSOs) as fitting into Zorro imitator category. I thought they were $99.98 at Walmart or something. When did they start making actual guitars?

They’ve been making good starter guitars for a long time. Laminates, but very playable and good quality finish at a good price. It’s like they’ve been slowly inching up the ladder of respectability.

For years Cort made guitars under contract to be sold under better known names. They sold at various prices and some were quite good.
