I think I'm in a New York state of mind.
I'm going to leave things unsaid this morning. Have a pleasant day, everyone.

Good morning. The rain that was predicted overnight mostly didn't fall. The effects of the storm mostly stayed to the west of us.
Have a good day.

Some rain expected this morning. Hurricane Hillary was pretty much a big dud here in the west side of Phoenix.
Eric and I recorded again yesterday. We got what we felt was a better version of Good Time Charlie. So it wasn't a total wasted day. I used the Cloudburst pedal in ensemble mode this time.

Sunny, gonna be hot (by Michigan standards) for a few days. Housework and some time staining the shed today. We are now sharing our home with this critter: Bailey is our eldest granddaughter's pup. Half Pomeranian, half long-haired Dachshund (try to imagine what she will look like as an adult dog). I'm not a fan of small dogs, but I'm a big fan of our granddaughter, and for many reasons it's good that she has a pet of her own. So far our granddaughter is doing well with house training, crate training, etc. Bailey will reside part-time at Ana and Lola's new apartment, part-time at Lola's Dad's house, and part-time with us. Our dog Luna pretty much ignores the pup.

Good morning
62F-86F cloudy.
While not the worlds happiest camper I am up and moving. Short run to the pharmacy and then I just might get some shop time in.

Our dog Luna pretty much ignores the pup. The problem with little guys like Bailey is they don't get socialized enough and are not comfortable around more than one or two people. Make sure he gets contact with lots of others not just family. Then you have a better chance of not having a little yappy dog that won't shut the hell up when others come around.

Marty, that is not our experience with miniature Dachschunds. Both Clara and Daisy loved people. Clara especially thought everyone who came to the house had come to see her, and she delighted in it.
Still Smokey here, but maybe not as bad as yesterday. Watching the weather in the desert, hoping our condo made it through ok. New string day, maybe. Need to go to a Costco for groceries, today, maybe tomorrow. The truck needs to be washed but I’ll wait until this current smoke event subsides.

Don, if you have any trouble, or questions, in how to go about socializing Bailey, give me a call. I have managed, twice, the near impossible task of socializing a Golden Retriever. I am called "The Dog Whisperer" in these parts.

It is my turn to start the bachelor day count as my wife is going on an Alaska cruise: Seattle, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, Victoria. I know she will have a great time, but I don't like being on the ocean or being stuck on a floating city.

Some people are cruise people, some aren't. My wife and I agree that I'd feel like a prisoner and wouldn't be happy. "Stuck on a floating city" is a good way to put it.

Good luck - mine got on a plane in Johannesburg sometime yesterday....or tomorrow....I get confused... and is due in to Missoula this evening after 3 weeks gone. Yesterday I put on my very last pair of underwear and decided perhaps I should do some laundry. So, the sock and underwear drawer is full up. You can do it David!

ePaul - I will take you up on your generous offer. You can come live with us for a few weeks (we have a shed you can stay in) and housetrain Bailey while Lola is in school. In between poop and pee events, you can carry her around and introduce her to the neighbors.
My greatest fear is that Bailey will become a yapper. So far she seems pretty mellow. Lola has introduced her to her cousins, friends and the next door neighbors.

My wife and I agree that I'd feel like a prisoner and wouldn't be happy. "Stuck on a floating city" is a good way to put it. For our 35th anniversary (53rd this year) we took a cruise from Philly, where we were living at the time, to Bermuda. 7 day 8 night cruise. We went 1st class, suite with a big outdoor private area and stocked in room bar I got to say what was on the bar. Including stuff to take with us it cost $10,000 but we had servants to do for us whatever we asked. The top deck was 10 and when anyone found out we were on deck 10 we got anything we wanted, other than winning at the casino. I'm tot a gambler but there was a bar in the casino so Mary played the games. Generally at blackjack she won her first pick but gave it all back, I got drunk mostly. On the way back from Bermuda, and you the tours on land were interesting we hit a storm coming up the coast. The navigator had told us we'd be behind it while we were having drinks and snacks in the Captain's cabin our last night but no, we were right in the worst of it. The ship was rocking from side to side, anything on a shelf falling to the floor, the restaurant closed for the most part and the rest of the passengers barfing in the hallways. Being "Boat people" we were fine so Mary was back in the casino where the machines were dumping out payouts which helped some. Mostly I was bored and stayed drunk on the Scotch in the room. A niece of mine is on an Alaska cruise now and having fun. Hope your folks have a good one.

You have an interesting variation on the rhythm of the song as I know it. Not wrong, just a little different. I suppose I do it differently too.

Checking in late. Today was a mostly indoor day except for a couple of necessary errands.. AccuWeather said it was 92°F with a "RealFeel" of 115°. I have no idea how they calculate that but between the heat, humidity, and lousy air quality outdoor breathing was tough for this old man.
