It's Tuesday (Weld) just because.
Have a good day, all.

Good morning, all. It's 67 degrees in our backyard, headed to about 100. Some bulbs called naked ladies are blooming out front, which is a sure sign that summer is on the wane.
Be of good cheer.

Venus again, for Todd. You’ll probably have to look at the blown-up picture to see it.

Good morning.
73F-90F mostly cloudy.
Cooler today but more humid. I'll put in a little morning shop time and then head over to buddy Milo's for lunch. After that a short trip to Cub Foods and back home for a nap.

On this date in 1698 Russia's Peter the Great imposed a tax on beards.

Glad to know the beard tax has gone the way of the Dodo, although as a trivia-minded tax guy I should probably know more about it. I’ll do some research.
As one of the least active guys I know, my recurrence of tennis elbow astounds me. This time it’s in my left arm, and I’m having trouble being able to grip just about anything. Who knows, it may improve the quality of my guitar playing.

Morning. Weekend was cool with scattered rain and visiting in laws. Looks like a new batch of 8 people arriving to stay at the house this week for various reasons. Probably gonna have to wear pants more than I usually do when I’m at home. If I go home.

Good morning. I dislike living without a refrigerator.
That said, I just returned home from Vinton, and my new refrigerator will be delivered today or tomorrow.

Actually, the moon was behind me. The bright dot IS Venus. Silly me. So what is the tiny bright dot at 1:00?

It was fun catching up with my old friend yesterday. We still have a bond. Nice.
Have good ones.

Back from coffee with old farts. Found out a friend/aquaintence has terminal cancer. And another friend passed. This getting old thing is getting old. I’m off to Kaiser Derm tomorrow to have them look at some spots that could be problematic. But I’m on the bike this afternoon.
Grilled halibut and veggies for dinner tonight.

Back from my second shot in the eye. Trying to keep macular degeneration at bay. Mr. H has been doing this for 9 years, so I know the routine.
Yeah, getting old sucks. I suppose that not getting old sucks even more.

Morning.
Twins have game two tonight in a big series against Cleveland. They took game one last night in a squeaker, 20-6.

(I think it is a star, and not another planet) I believe it is the star Procyon, part of the Canis Minor constellation, which is one of the dogs that follow Orion.

Morning. Twins have game two tonight in a big series against Cleveland. They took game one last night in a squeaker, 20-6. When the local rivalry here is Yankees/Redsox it’s hard to get excited about Twins/Guardians (they are still Indians to me). Oops. Excuse me.
