The morning is heavy, with one new beginning, here in Grand Rapids. Yesterday was hot and muggy; today will be much less hot and much more muggy. Thunderstorms in the late morning.
Packing for IdiotJam. I seem to bring a lot of stuff for a relatively short trip. For the first time I am leaving my Taylor at home. Some years I have taken it to IdiotJam and never taken it out of its case - I have been busily fixing guitars, yakking, or playing other people's guitars. Hopefully it won't be in a snit when I return.

Good morning, one more sleep before the festivities begin.
7/16 of an inch of rain overnight, high today about 73.
I'm hoping my new refrigerator will arrive today, I'm tired of living out of coolers.

A monument to the number 12. There are a couple of mute swans Anna some geese that were the original subject of this photo. Plus, a few big rigs going by on I-65.

Good morning.
60F-73F cloudy.
Very cool today. Clouded and breezy right now might rain just a little. I've been meaning to clean out the trash and non essential stuff in the truck and today would be a good day to do that. Then maybe a few errands.

Not Samsung, but maybe a victim of Frigidaire, although it was about 13 years old when it failed, so I can't complain too much.
My New refrigerator has been installed, it's a Whirlpool.

Pretty decent mail call today: Two come-ons from senior living centers, one come-on from Andersen Windows, another from a credit union, and a county advisory on where to dispose of hazardous substances.
I consider it a good day when I get no ads from cemeteries or cremation services.

Our new cell phones arrived from Consumer Cellular with yesterday's mail. The old ones are 5 years old. I can't remember what all those won't support, but it was enough to make us replace them. We spent a lot of time at W-M today trying to buy the necessary accessories. Bounced back and forth between electronics and automotive, with everything locked up and requiring assistance. The guy in electronics freaked out when Mr. H wanted to open a box to see what he was buying. But now we are able to charge the phones. Activation of at least one of them should happen tomorrow. I'm glad that Mr. H is a retired software engineer and still has most of his brains.
Got home and I made salsa fresca and marinated some swordfish to top with said salsa and guacamole, which is store-bought. Will have with whole wheat flour tortillas. That's about all that I want to do today. I may need a nap.

I consider it a good day when I get no ads from cemeteries or cremation services. You don't giggle at the offer from the Neptune Society urging you to enter to win a "free deluxe cremation?" I always wonder, what do you add to a cremation to make it deluxe? Higher temp? Marshmallows?
