I hadn't remembered today's date until now.
I doubt that any of us will ever forget the details. I was noodling on guitar in my music room when my younger daughter came in and said, "Dad, a plane just crashed into the World Trade Center. It looks like terrorism." Everyone I knew was in shock that day. I remember being on the guitar forum of that time (Acoustic Guitar?) and discussing the events with Sekhmet. I may have discussed things with other people here.

09/11. What a day that was.
It’s raining here. It started about 4 AM and should do this until tonight. It’s a restful sound and the ducks seem happy.

It's a day I will never forget.
Good morning. The weekend wasn't Idiot Jam big but it was still a nice one. Saw Bonnie Raitt Friday night which was amazing. Saturday morning was the farmers market in Hamilton followed by a foofy Italian dinner out with with friends who were in town for the concert. Big salmon and shrimp family meal at the house last night.Everyone's gone this morning except for my mom who should be here a week or two before heading to Arizona.

Rainy. Dragging after a great IdiotJam and a long drive. Unloaded but not unpacked.

Good morning, we had about 10/32 of an inch of rain overnight. Not enough, but very welcome.
Memories of 9-11 floating around in my head this morning. I was in Caracas that morning, not a good place to be stranded. I slipped out of Caracas and my travel odyssey then took me to Bogota, Quito and Guayaquil before I finally made it home.

Back from Brothers' Golf and Fish at the lake. No rest for the weary. This weekend in Anna's wedding. Tomorrow I pick up my suit in Fargo and Thursday off to a airbnb on some lake near the cities.
I am beginning to entertain just a whiff of a concern that this may not be the Viking's year to zoom to the top. Just a whiff, mind you.

I mentioned yesterday that there would be an announcement concerning the #489 2006 McCormick guitar soon, so I guess that today will suffice.
I am so humbled to be the current care taker of such a fine instrument, but it occurred to me quickly the gravity of that ownership as well. I spoke with several members in attendance this weekend after I won the raffle, about an idea that I had concerning my tenure with this instrument.
I will care for this guitar in the up coming year. At our next fall gathering, this instrument will once again be raffled off to a new caretaker for the following year. Any moneys collected will go to a worthy benefit, (which this year was the sidewalk improvement fund). Now here is where some responsibility enters the equation as my intent would be that this become a yearly ritual. The guitar would be raffled off to an attendee each year. This care taker role comes with an obligation that the guitar would be back for the next gathering thereby allowing it to continue its journey.
Marty has agreed to do any needed maintenance. That said, I am sure that we will all take delight in the prospect of becoming a care taker for such a fine instrument, and it will receive as much love as it gives.

Good morning
52F-72F mostly cloudy.
Slept late as did DaWife and we haven't decided if we should treat today like Sunday and go have breakfast and do shopping. She has the week off so it could wait until another day. I'll have to take inventory and see what Zar left in the house to eat. She and her BF Lily stayed here to take care of kitties over the weekend.
EDIT: 9/11 I was at the Podium early as usual.

I was in the newsroom on 9/11. The first plane hit early that morning, and lots of co-workers gathered around the biggest TV we had, high up on the wall. It first was considered some sort of horrible accident, but it wasn't long before that idea faded away, sigh.
Hang in there, Howard, on what I am sure is a difficult day for you and yours.
Just back from Urgent Care, where I got in and out in an hour -- amazing! -- and the nurse practitioner could not have been more helpful. Thankfully, I had saved and brought along the empty bottle of Chlorpromazine from last August's episode, and she ordered a refill for me. Now it's up to Walgreen's to come through in a timely manner, no sure thing.
Also refilled the autocar at $3.79, as a huge price increase in gas is expected soon because of some refinery issues. A jump of somewhere between 50 cents and $1 is predicted.
No hiccups yet this morning, but it was at about this time yesterday in Vinton that they re-erupted. Fingers and trachea crossed.

9/11 was a horrible day for the country. I have string memories different moments from that day; for me it was a day that fundamentally changed me in ways I probably still can’t explain. Good idea on the guitar, Phil; I’m all for it. Here’s the moon and Venus (and maybe Procyon) from this morning’s walk.

This weekend in Anna's wedding. Well, I should THINK you'd be in it! (I mean, you're paying for a lot of it, right?)

9/11. A dark day. Nita has plans to see the memorial in NY next week.
Had a bit of a hiccup yesterday. At the play, I tripped and fell. Quite embarrassing, having like thirty people asking me if I was alright. Wanting to call an ambulance, etc. I came down on my knee and it hurt, but I was ok. This morning said knee is swollen to the size of a softball, so I’m going in to see the doc and get a X-ray this afternoon. “It’s always something.”
Wordle is mocking me today.

Hit my head, so no real damage. If anything, I put a crack in an old sidewalk that is due for replacement so I helped with demolition.

My advice to Rob and Mike is do not fall! Be careful. Getting older bites enough without adding injury.
I hate that my doctor always asks if I have fallen lately. I usually say, only for Barbara!
