It's pay day! Except my mate is still here.
Still coughing, feeling a bit drained. Having vivid dreams.
Wishing all a good day.

It was a dark and stormy night…
Off to the shop early this morning, have good ones those of you that can.

Good morning. It'll be pleasant here by my standards, 60s-90s. Last night my bride and I had a delicious Italian dinner to celebrate her birthday at a restaurant that's six minutes away. I'd forgotten how good the place is.
My wife and son are now past the bug that has circulated in our house. I was the last to feel ill and apparently I'll be the last to get entirely well. It's more of a nuisance than anything else. I could do without the lassitude.
Be of good cheer.

Still a 1/2 hour to sunrise and the first cup is of coffee is underway. The dogs have been fed and tended to, so they went back to bed. Nothing special planned for today.

Congratulations, James. After my first guess there was nothing to do but work my way through four possibilities. The answer was the third.

Good morning
59F-84F partly cloudy.
I think just shop time today. Shawn is off today so he will be around to take care of Ellie, but I will go visit her.

Morning.
Basking in the joy of navigating our health care system to get my torn bicep tendon imaged to see if I need surgery. 12 days out and two cancelled ultrasound appointments because apparently our local machines and techs aren't up the level required but insurance is mandating ultrasound not MRI. We are currently in the hissy fit phase of negotiations.

The health insurance system in this country is a scam and a swamp. I hope you can get this sorted out and receive the medical attention you may need, Steve.

Wordle. Sheesh! Wordle 823 6/6
🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
Howard, did you go the paxlovid route? I hope you are feeling better soon. You too Steve.
The wife is on a subway heading to the 911 Memorial this am.
I woke up, spilled coffee all over the counter, struggled mightily to put thecompression sleeve on my swollen knee/leg t that the Doc gave me yesterday. So far the only redeeming part of the day is the carrot raisin muffin that I retrieved from the freezer. Off to lunch later with my buddy Pete, at a Pho place in Beaverton.

So far the only redeeming part of the day is the carrot raisin muffin that I retrieved from the freezer. Off to lunch later with my buddy Pete, at a Pho place in Beaverton. Mike No, I didn't. I called my doctor's answering service the other evening, to get him to phone the prescription in to my pharmacy, on the advice of a family friend (not an MD). My doctor, who has treated me for the last 26 tears, called me back 10 minutes later.
"Are you lying in bed, feeling like you're going to die?" he asked me. "No," I replied, "just congested with a little cough and a low-grade fever." (The fever is gone now.) "Then you don't need paxlovid," he said. End of story.
I hope Nita is having a good visit here. Sorry I am sick; I could have played guide for an evening.
Also sorry about your knee. I tore the meniscus in both knees about 21-22 years ago and had surgeries on them. Running on pavement—it'll get you every time. Knee problems suck. Is there a plan to go the surgical route for you?

Morning!
Leaves are starting to slowly turn up here. I see three yellow ones on the cottonwood in the park across the street.

It also has a dark side....(Old Hunter S. Thompson humor.)
Our doctors are terrific. Our system for delivering healthcare to human beings is atrocious.

Agreed. I specified "health insurance system." My doctors here are great, although they are sort of accessories after the fact, and you know it will be a cold day in hell before the AMA approves a single-payer system. Or Congress, for that matter.

Knee problems suck. Is there a plan to go the surgical route for you? No. My problem is that I’m on blood thinners so I bled into the bursa? Whatever that is so the plan is to use compression, elevation, to get the swelling down and then I should be ok. It’s just very painful and taking it’s sweet time. We will see. Mike
