Thinking about Tuscany. Going to go back there.
We rented this villa, below, with my British cousins in 2017, inhabited the first two floors. It was old and lovely.
Have a good week, everyone!

Good morning. According to the National Weather Service, we can expect "near record temperatures to extend into this upcoming weekend." Luckily, it's more pleasant than that sounds. Enjoy your day.

Good morning.
38F-56F mostly sunny.
Way behind on a few shop tasks that need my attention so I'll try to work on that today.

Morning.
Erection of new greenhouse looming. Looks to be a good bit more complicated in build than the old (now roofless) one. Good thing I got Gus. That kid has really become good to have around. Well, he was always good to have around, but in these last couple years, he has become incredibly useful, as well. It's like having my own Mr. Green Jeans.

Cool morning, but warming up nicely. It's a day, that for me, marks the end of summer. I'll be leaving shortly for the cabin to shut off and drain the water. We can expect hard freezing here starting around October 15th. The forecast looks good, but I'm not much of a gambler. It's got to be done. I'll probably bring the boat home next week, and the tractor , the week after that.
Depending on how I feel, and what time it is when I finish up at the cabin, I may swing by the farm and see what the corn looks like.
Over 55,000 people at the Iowa Women's basketball game yesterday.

Good morning. I just read a Consumer Report article that says I should be cleaning my wooden cutting board regularly with diluted bleach water, even though I use it only for cutting bread. Other than a quick wipe-down, it has not been washed in 13 years. Add that to the list of things I do wrong.

What did people do before bleach was invented? Maybe this is why they all died.

I think there is some medical opinion that one of the things we suffer from is too much cleanliness. It has helped reduce our natural immunity.

Cloudy and 50 here but the rain has stopped. It's supposed to be in the 60s Wednesday through Friday.
Have good ones.

I was not of the social class to interest fraternities, but your post brought to mind a ditty from college days. "Sigma Chi built a brand new house and we are very glad. It proved to be the first erection they have ever had."

I was invited to “pledge” for a fraternity in 1960. I learned that two of my qualifying attributes were not being black and not being Jewish. I invited them to have aeronautical intercourse with a horizontally transversing toroidal pastry (or words to that effect). They were not amused.

Mysterioso strikes again! I have no idea, but for some reason I know who Mysterio is. Do you really think Mysterio sent you cookies?

Well, Mysterio and Mysterioso are two different people. The first is a crazy wrestler. The second is a Soundhoolian. (In a bit of musical trivia,Mysterioso was how Eric Clapton was listed on the Beatles recording of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. And no, I do not think Clapton sent me cookies)

Here they are backing Nick Lowe on one of my favorite of his songs.

*sigh*
Some mornings I wake up feeling a bit disappointed that I'm not Nick Lowe.
