Wake up! It’s dark out. I think turning on a light may be wise. Have good ones. Hello coffee, my old friend…

Making breakfast for the offspring. Man, I hate getting up at 5:40 in the morning, and I really hate what has become a somewhat hostile environment at my job. The good news is her report card reported a GPA of 99.5. I believe her when she says she never wants to have to depend on another person.
36° in New York, a predicted high of 53° later. That's it from here. Have good days, people.

Good morning. Although it's still dark, Diane just took our Lab Barney for a walk. It concerns me when she walks him in the dark but Barney wears a blue light and he's a big, strong dog. I guess a mugger would find somebody else to mess with.
All's well. Enjoy your day.

Good morning, all. The week before Thanksgiving Break is always hectic at the university. Kids are trying to finish projects and papers so they can get home for a few days. Clinic is always full of over-stressed and under-slept kids, in addition to the ones with flu and other nasty viruses. We are staying busy!
I hope your days are good!

Up, coffee and Wordle. 47 out, not raining but the streets are wet. Just checked to see if the turkey we bought will fit in our roaster, it does, barely. I’m told the only thing I have to cook is the turkey, so that should be doable. And you know how when you are married the family comes as part of the deal? Well, we just found out that Nita’s aunt and uncle will not be coming for thanksgiving, and that is Great because the uncle is a racist asshole who does not know how to keep his opinions to himself. Last year he had my daughter in tears and they left early because of him. So this morning I’m doing the Snoopy dance. We will still have 14 bodies here.
Little bit of shopping today, plugging in the Airstream to charge the batteries for the trip to rv repair tomorrow, little plumbing leak, should not be too big a deal.
Have a good day.

Good morning.
37F-56F sunny.
Back to house chores and shop work today. We were thinking of breakfast at Obb's but I remembered they don't do breakfast on weekdays. So we have frozen waffles and such with plenty of coffee.

There will be just two of us for Thanksgiving and I'm fine with that. Just finished making up the menu and grocery list and It will be simple. I recall some not too happy holidays with family.
But we have a neighborhood wine and cheese party this Saturday and I'm meeting a visiting out of town friend for breakfast on Tuesday. And tomorrow Mr. H and I host a lunch at a restaurant with our social club. So we are not hiding out.
Mr. H made a batch of 6 pie crusts two days ago. I'll be snagging one to make quiche tonight.

The winter 'buri' season has started (yum!), the newspaper clip is of several hundred being caught/brought in at a couple local ports (buri = yellowtail). Size is 8-9kg, but up to 14. Crab season has started, too, tho they're too pricey right now, so maybe later. I usually ask for any that are missing a leg or two, instead of the pretty ones.
