Good morning from Brooklyn. I just finished breakfast with the teenager. Since she is a pescetarian, her breakfast sandwich involves a plant-based sausage-substitute patty, a scrambled egg, a thin slice of sharp cheddar, and a whole grain English muffin. She likes the way I prepare scrambled eggs, although I don't see the difference between my version and hers. The cappuccino I can make here at home is pretty decent, so we're good until lunchtime. Wouldn’t a true pescatarian have lox in there somewhere?
She doesn't like lox. Texture, Dub, texture.
She will, however, eat miso-glazed salmon. Er, the way Dad prepares it.

The BS is you stole stuff and that is a crime.

Except you admit that you did: I'm getting tired of all this bullshit..... I just sent you an email and I wanted to email JohnB too Bob, your moral compass is out of whack. You stole, despite your efforts to justify it. And Bill doesn't sound like a teacher or priest, just a normal honest person like most of us. If it pisses you off to be called out, don't do stuff to deserve it and then announce it proudly here.

Your story doesn't make sense. If you post on the Soundhole for everyone to see then it's public and expect feedback.

I didn’t steal anything. I talked to my sponsor, SLPs, and a few advocates about what happened - CVS are messed up…really disorganized now. My moral compass - not “out of whack” Rob H. I was talking with Bill. (I know he’s a normal person) I don’t even need to see your thoughts. I’d rather not hear you again please And I see a couple of friends with this group. They shouldn’t on this thread. I said some of my thoughts about Bill I didn’t like what …… I got to get some couple items and it wasn’t a thief. The sponsor, SLPS, advocates said “just grab it. don’t worry about it.” I didn’t stole anything and it’s not a crime. I think some of it is a little repetitive Bob, the way the forum works is people post stuff and other people respond to it. I know I haven't always liked the responses to my posts but that's my tough luck. You said "I don’t even need to see your thoughts. I’d rather not hear you again please" Well, that's not in your control. If you don't want responses, the only way to guarantee that is to not post, which I just did for a month.

Tell her if she’s ever served lox and doesn’t want lox, send them to me. I love lox, and prefer the traditional lox to nova lox. I don’t get lox very often because Fiddlerina won’t eat them either.

I don't know that I've ever eaten traditional lox, only Nova. What is the difference? I am looking forward to my next trip to NY in February, so I can have what I view as a "traditional" bagel with lox, which generally is Nova, I think. Perhaps I will have it on a Friday, or on Saturday or Sunday. Maybe all three days.

Most of this Sunday thread is deleted. Either it was a joke like The Fool Day. Or you can’t understand it, so I deleted it anyway. :-)

Once in Chicago, especially Rogers Park, Evanston, and Skokie in the early 1960s there were a great many delicatessens and restaurants that sold or served lox. Lox and bagels with cream cheese quickly became a favorite of mine. Another thing I enjoyed in those days was to go down to Navy Pier—it was a lot different in those days and actual Navy vessels anchored there—where the fishing boats would come in on a Sunday morning and you could buy freshly caught and smoked whitefish, take it home and enjoy a nice Sunday brunch. I miss those days.

John B, nova lox are cold smoked and brined, while lox are only brined. Either or is good on a toasted bagel with cream cheese, onions, and capers.

John B, if you've never seen the two delis in Manhattan - Zabar 2245 Broadway - on the Upper West Side. Gourmet emporium specializing in smoked fish, caviar, coffee, cheese, kitchen goods & housewares AND Katz Deli in 205 E. Houston St, Greenwich Village. No-frills deli with theatrically cranky service serving mile-high sandwiches since 1888.
I used to come of those places for a long time - in my 50s 60s apartments. I usually have my mile-high roast beef/pastrami with poppy buns - ate the Bitter End or Gerde's Folk City.

Traditional lox (also known as "belly" lox?) is saltier. John, when you are in New York in February, whether or not we'll be available, take a side trip to Russ and Daughters, either on East Houston Street or the corner of 34th Street and Tenth Avenue by the Hudson Yards, and watch the beauty and skill of the person who will thinly slice the lox for your order.
