Good morning. Today is Seabury Sunday, which means nothing in any denomination other than mine. We'll have a bagpipe and drum band to celebrate Scotland's role in the history of the Episcopal Church. The kids really enjoy the bagpipes and drums. Nothing wrong with that.
This afternoon I'll go back to church to remove an exhibit of my photographs and to help install an exhibit of someone else's. I recently took over running the church's "arts program," which is basically a way to get something on the walls of the activity rooms at no cost to the church.
Have a good day.

I had only one letter through 5 guesses in Wordle. Once I got it (on the 6th) it seemed obvious.
Off to Amazon the county.

Looks like a nice day shaping up. I don’t know how much longer this mild weather will last but it’s nice. Enjoy it.

Nice day today. Nothing planned except grocery shopping. Will probably listen to the Packer game on NFL+ app. Their chances of winning another game are pretty low this year. Wordle 883 4/6

Good morning from Brooklyn. I just finished breakfast with the teenager. Since she is a pescetarian, her breakfast sandwich involves a plant-based sausage-substitute patty, a scrambled egg, a thin slice of sharp cheddar, and a whole grain English muffin. She likes the way I prepare scrambled eggs, although I don't see the difference between my version and hers. The cappuccino I can make here at home is pretty decent, so we're good until lunchtime.
Grocery trip and laundry scheduled for this morning. Maybe some hoovering of the pet fur later this afternoon ("Don't worry, Dad, we'll get a dog that has hair, not fur, so it won't shed"). Some guitar playing is in the cards, too.
Then dinner, a movie with the girls, sleep, and tomorrow, back on the [AI] chain gang.

Good morning. Looks like a nice weather day here in Florida. Got some shopping, a bike ride and a Bucs armored rugby game later today. They're probably gonna lose to the 49ers.......

Hope is a pescatarian and I am a pesky septuagenarian. They sound similar, but I think they are not. Her designation is probably better.

She likes the way I prepare scrambled eggs, although I don't see the difference between my version and hers. Likely the amount of personal effort involved. However, if I was visiting Dad and he suggested scrambled eggs for breakfast, I'd take his version over mine in a heartbeat, if only for the pleasant memories breakfast by dad would invoke. Speaking of which, during the time between parental marriages, my brother and I spent every Saturday night at dad's. My brother and I shared a paper route, so on Sunday morning we'd get up early, Dad would fix Pillsbury orange rolls, then we'd deliver papers from dad's car (much easier than walking or biking the route). This morning I popped some of those same rolls in the oven for breakfast, even though I'm the only one in the household who likes them. But ahh, the memories... P.S. Howard, I really tried to find an autotuned version of "Chain Gang" but I suppose I will have to wait until one of your freelancers turns it in as original copy next week.

My father couldn't cook a lick—toasting bread, perhaps, was the pinnacle of his culinary abilities. And my mom hated being in the kitchen, so even though she cooked, it was a quick session; whatever scientific moms of the 1950s and '60s did to expedite the process: minute steaks, boil-in bags, etc. I didn't taste fresh asparagus until I was 26 years old, and then, at someone else's table. My grandmother, highly skilled in the art of Eastern European cuisine, taught me the basics of cooking beginning when I was about nine years old. At least that's when I remember I began to pay attention.
PPS: In a stroke of symbolic absurdity, the initials of one of the new freelancers is, in fact, AI. The other is TI: Transient Intelligence?

Good morning from Brooklyn. I just finished breakfast with the teenager. I'm guessing she didn't stay up to watch the Las Vegas GP, which started at 1 ayem your time?

She tried, but was too tired. No way I was going to stay up that late—I need my beauty sleep more than ever these days. Both my girls are watching the recorded version right now.

That Back on the Chain Gang is just brilliant. Couldn’t be AI generated.

Hope is a pescatarian and I am a pesky septuagenarian. They sound similar, but I think they are not. Her designation is probably better. I gave up being a septuagenarian and embraced octogenarianism. So far no ill effects.

Bill Hammond What the hell you don’t like my writing?? What’s your thoughts? Tbob, my thoughts are that if a store makes a mistake and overcharges you, the appropriate action is to go back to them with the receipt and ask for a refund or credit -- not to admittedly steal from the store to make up the difference.
