I really enjoyed listening to that. Great job. And I bet you folks have a lot of fun getting together and making music like this, which is the most important part. You folks are good!

I wish we could get together. Tony is on Vancouver Island, Terry is in Edmonton. I’ve never actually met Terry, we just chat. This is a common way to make music now. I laid down the guitar track, exported it to Dropbox. Tony loaded it up and did the vocal track and sent that back to me. I added it to my mix, exported that and sent it to Terry. He recorded the fiddle track and sent it back. I added it and did a final mix. It works, it’s fun, everyone can take their time.

Very nice!
Very tiny quibble, the second "falling" at the beginning, I've always heard as "autumn."
"The autumn leaves of red and gold."

The guy has a really great voice. And your accompaniment was very tasty. Just right.
But, for my tastes, the long pause between each phrase became irritating. Not became, the long pauses bothered me right away. Every line started a beat or three, or four, late. My mind was going, "come on, get going, move it along, what the heck are you waiting for, start singing, you're wreaking the song".
Which was a shame, because he really does have a wonderful voice.
(if I'm the only one put off by long pause before each phrase, then ignore. But, for my tastes, this song has to have a flow, a continuation of energy between the phrases, or it just dies of boredom.)
Sorry. But, it isn't helpful to hear nothing but "Great! Man!"

So a bear walks into a bar with an accompanist and sings this version of Autumn leaves - - -- and the bartender says ?

When I did one of my CDs several years ago, I had Lonnie Knight do a guitar track on a song. I Drop-boxed or Google-Drived the wav files to him. He played over them and sent back his guitar track wav file, and me and my engineer friend loaded it into the mix. Worked great.

No one needs to travel, everyone has time to get their part right without everyone else having to wait around. With how easy it is to set up a home studio, it just makes a lot of sense.

This was one of my mother's favorite melodies. Sometimes, she'd hum the tune to help me get to sleep when I was wee.
Lovely arrangement, Rick.
