This is one of my fav times of the year. I realize that not everyone gets it off, but I generally have, and of course I’m retired now. But the holiday frenzy has wound down, the big days are done, the shopping/wrapping/eating and drinking too much are finished. There might be a little visiting, but even New Year’s Eve is pretty quiet for us. But most important, no one around to bother us, and nothing that needs to be done. I have new books. I have guitars. I have a song to work on for the novella I just completed. Taking a break off working out. Might go for some walks.
This is what the young folks refer to as “chillin’”, I believe.
