Good morning. It was very windy yesterday. I forgot to lower the umbrella that stood over our glass outdoor table. The wind appears to have lifted the umbrella and then slammed it into the glass tabletop, leaving nothing but a lot of glass shards. I'll clean it up today.
The weather service says the colder parts of the Phoenix area may get morning lows in the low- to mid-20s today and tomorrow. We're in a colder part but it doesn't look like it'll drop below 30 here.* It's cold enough, though. I'm supposed to have coffee with a friend in the back yard this afternoon. That may wind up being indoors.
All's well. Enjoy your day.

Good morning. Dreary rainy day here in Florida. Abbie the labrador has a UTI, second one in about two months so today's priority is to get a vet appointment and see what's to be done. Outside of that not much on the agenda. I might get motivated to change the strings on the 12 string. Have a great day folks.

I almost forgot. It's the birthday of Paul Revere the musician, not the rider. "Paul Revere Dick (January 7, 1938 – October 4, 2014)[1] was an American musician, best known for being the leader, keyboardist and (by dropping his last name to create the stage name) namesake of Paul Revere & the Raiders." Wikipedia. I would have dropped that last name too.

Depending on which weather service you listen to, tonight we will either get less than 1/2 an inch of snow or be in the grips of a howling blizzard. I am hoping both are wrong and nothing happens. Time will tell.

Tee gave a blizzard forcast too, LJ. Not for the valley, but for the Oregon cascades. It’s a good time to hunker down. The Ducks are in a somewhat important game tonight. We will be rooting them on in a somewhat restrained way. (Hey, they are not the aoregon State Beavers) I have to swallow hard to say, Go Ducks.
On edit: apparently, it’s even harder to say go Dawgs. Go figure.
Yesterdays chili came out great, recipe available if anyone requests. I call it Mike’s “winging it “chili. I should have made a bigger pot. In other exciting news it’s laundry day. I have a magic laundry hamper. I put dirty clothes in and a few days later they appear clean, folded, in my clothes drawer. 👍

Woke up to 33 degree temps this morning and one of the two furnaces we have decided not to provide heat any longer. Fortunately it happened on a work day. So the furnace repair guy will be here within the hour.
Last time I had an issue the thermostat backup battery corroded the contacts and shorted the thing. That won't be the issue this time, since I removed all the back up batteries.

Good morning.
23F-32F cloudy.
I was out of a couple meds for a few days and picked up the refills yesterday. Now I'm "breaking in" again and it made for a really lousy nights sleep. I think a morning nap is in order.

Morning.
Adopting the Lions and the Browns. Will ride them as long as it goes.
(Flaco is a great story! And I hope Goff nails the team that dumped him and then threw him in as freebie.)

The blizzard they are predicting starting tonight will come, I can feel it when I step outside. That damp way to humid for winter and the overcast sky with no detail in the clouds. I'll be making a big pot of chili tonight.

No blizzards down here, but sustained winds of 25+ mph, gusts to 50+ mph, and 2-4 inches of rain are forecast for the next 24 hours. Trees will go down, especially the shallow-rooted pines. Oh, and they say there is a small chance of a tornado.
Otherwise, things are fine here.

Just a chilly, wet 40f out there. Glad I chose a life where I work inside. I remember the farm life of going out every day to feed the cattle and/or break ice for their water trough. Some might think it a romantic lifestyle, but the romance wears off.
