Lemons are a cross between a citron and a bitter orange, which is itself a cross between a pomelo and a mandarin. So lemons are a hybrid of a hybrid. Life didn't give us lemons, we had to make them ourselves.

Maybe it's just me, but this guy strikes me as somewhat cynical.

When life hands you lemons. I very much enjoyed this mini-monologue when I watched the series. As a bonus, there's a nice cast overlap with Reacher.

If that's true, then what's an esrog?

Sort of the Abraham of lemons.

I thought of this when, because there was nothing else on, I watched the barrage of poorly made jokes during the opening monologue of the golden globes. One of the jokes that didn’t go over was about “ozempic butt”. At the end of the monologue it broke for commercial and announced that they were being sponsored by Pfizer, a direct competitor to Novo-nordisk the makers of ozempic. So, manipulating through jokes on the golden globes? I wonder how much the sponsor paid to have that joke inserted into the broadcast.

There is a store in the center of campus called Toomer's Drugs. It has become an icon due to its longevity, and its lemonade. Toomer's lemonade is known throughout the Southeastern Conference. I rarely go get any, but it is quite tasty. The folks at Toomer's freely and frequently share their recipe:
To make Simple Syrup: Pour 5 pounds sugar into a gallon jug. Fill the jug with hot water. Stir or shake until sugar dissolves and solution is clear. Store in refrigerator. To make 1 gallon of lemonade: Combine 1 pint lemon juice and 2 pints Simple Syrup in a gallon container. Finish filling container with water and ice. Stir well. —An Auburn University tradition
