Good morning. Rain this morning, clearing later getting cold as the front will have passed. Got my appointment with the audiologist this morning for my hearing test. Got that low frequency hum going on in my right ear so we'll see how the test turns out. Abbie the lab is still having UTI problems after three days of antibiotics. Two accidents in the house yesterday and she feels guilty even though we told her it's ok. It's a concern but there's still 7 days left on the course of antibiotics so hopefully we'll get improvement over the weekend. Elvis Costello was meh last night. The sound system wasn't great and the band seemed a bit off but the show did have it's moments. Oh well.
Have good ones folks.

Good morning. Good luck with Abbie, Ken.
We'll have about 30-50s. A work crew will be here to finish installing a raised garden bed for my wife so that she won't have to kneel to grow things. I'm going to try to get a haircut.
As Porky would say, that's all, folks.

Good morning. I hope this finds everyone well.
I am going to fry myself an egg and a Beyond Burger breakfast sausage now. 😆
Big rain coming through here tonight. I just fixed the old mantel clock that resides in my daughter's room. Now she may be able to tell what time it really is.
Anticipating a quiet day on the work from home front. www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/ That's fine, because I have some personal reading to do and a couple of phone calls to make.
Have a pleasant day, good people.

Winter showed up. Strong winds are blowing the snow in a scary fashion, I-65 has jackknifed trucks, I can’t see beyond the patio, and tonight’s dinner plans has undergone an abrupt change. Not much else to say other than the coffee is ready so life still has some pleasures.

Looking real bad out there. Evergreens are already bowed over and the storm is just revving up. Power has flickered on and off and on every 5 minutes or so. If power goes we lose heat shortly thereafter. With a blizzard, crews won’t be out and overwhelmed if they are.
Buckle up Bucky. I’m checking batteries in flash lights.

4 below, 8" of new snow, and still snowing sideways. It gets even worse in July. Tell your friends about Montana. I implore you!

Got below freezing again last night. We were up a tad earlier than usual due to a medical appointment for Mr. H, just routine. Maybe we'll finally take down the Christmas tree after that.
Had 16 people at choir last night. One of them is tone deaf. It will be interesting to see how the director handles that.

From what I've heard, choir directors often encounter such problems. One view is that as long as you're making a joyful noise unto the Lord, that's all that counts. That view has never prevailed at our church.

Currently below freezing this morning. I never drain the water from the mister system anymore, so I hope it doesn't break anything.

We have 6 glorious degrees here and it will get much colder this weekend. The snow is sposed to start this afternoon, continue overnight, with a total of around 6 inches for the Twin Cities, and then the cold drops in. I'm pretty well provisioned, but will make a trip to Walgreen's for omeprazole so I don't die and stuff.
Some guy just pedaled past on his fat-tire bike. Better him than me. I don't "take a shine" to freezing my ass off.

Good morning.
6F-19F cloudy.
Cats are NOT happy, they HATE Winter.
I have an INR appointment this morning so I will have to brave the cold. It's good that I'm feeling better and my back is not so painful. Of which I will try to talk to a Doc about it today. Since I must go out anyway I'll stop by the grocery store for a few things on the way back. Once home and warmed up I just might get some shop time in, got people waiting for things.
On a side subject. One of our Switch Joy-Con controllers got gunked up with buttons sticking so I order a $12 tool kit that came with lots of spare parts, rather good deal really. The screws holding the case together are a micro sized 3 blade Phillips and of all the tools I have that one is not among them. I got the kit and started carefully taking the controller apart. Well I got the buttons unstuck but then found out putting the GD thing back together is quite the task, you need at least 3 hands. I usually think of myself as a daft hand at fixing stuff but I have run across a task that I think would even have our Joe cursing and frustrated.

Morning coffee is being consumed, and our real winter starts today. It’s 39 out there right now, dropping to freezing this evening, and in the twenties/teens tomorrow with snow/sleet/freezing rain forecast. Roasting a turkey breast today, turkey soup tomorrow, we are set for a few days. Glad I don’t have to go anywhere.

Good morning, all!
Severe storms and possible tornadoes forecast for us later today. It is cloudy and breezy now, but you can feel the weather changing.
Judging by the previous posts, lots of us are expecting more bad weather on the way ...
I can't decide whether I love Steve Martin or hate him. What a talented guy.

Windy, gonna get blizzardy. We have yet to see the first flake, but I believe the meteorologists (and SoundHooligans). Schools made the decision to close today about mid-afternoon yesterday. The community college is closed, so my son gets the day off with pay.
Planning on some uninterrupted workshop time. I have two workbenches cluttered with unfinished stuff and our daughter's broken kitchen table taking up floor space.
Really enjoyed the Steve Martin clip - he is quite the clawhammerer. On my YouTube feed it was followed by two hours of John Dowland lute music. Enjoyable, but I won't be sticking around for the duration.

Back from INR. They didn't have any cancelations so I won't see the Doc about by back until Monday. Damn it's cold out there.
