Well our temp ain’t bad. 34. And the snow converted to drizzly stuff. Good news is it washed some heavy stuff off the trees. But there’s another heavy batch of snow coming, then plunging temps. But the power stopped flickering., so that’s good so far. I just spent an hour out there clearing most the snow from our driveway and sidewalk. My little electric snow blower (I think I can., I think I can) did better than I expected. Of course the village snow plow blew thu and built a wall. Only shovels work on that. But it hadn’t frozen solid, so I could work with it.
And I shoveled a path to the mailbox for Millring.

Currently -1*F with an expected high of 1F*. These wild swings in temperature are crazy. There may be a dusting of snow, or maybe not.
As I lie on my back icing my knee after a round at the rehabilitation center, I've found myself beginning to confide in my physical therapist; unburden, open up.
"It's my dog, Casper. Lately, he wants to go out all the time. And when I go check on him, he is by the fence, acting as if there is someone on the other side. But when he notices me, he scoots away and pretends that he was just scratching himself. I think something is going on."
My physical therapist is very confused by this behavior. So am I.

Snowpocalypse going on again today. Supposed to get 8" on top of 9" we already had from Tuesday. Also, the dang Minnestoans are sending their artic winds this way to create a full on blizzard and dangerously cold Temps.
On the bright side though, our power has been off for over an hour and a half, so that makes things cozy here in the house when you have to snuggle under blankets to survive. Linn County REC knows that we go out every storm (our section is at the end of their lines) so I'm thinking class action lawsuit. 98 homes in Iowa County is all they service on that line and like always, they are all out.

Had 16 people at choir last night. One of them is tone deaf. It will be interesting to see how the director handles that. Here's how on choir directer handled it: I believe I'm stuck in the house until Sunday, just like a bunch of you folks in this blizzard. I can't wait until summer.

Round 2 is starting.
I did get out and clean the drive through the slush down to pavement. But the drizzle has swapped over to big flakes falling from the sky. This is where the real accumulation is expected to develop. We had 6" overnight. Now comes the bigger accumulation and the temp drop.

VI, I'm familiar with that episode. Saw it recently. In my previous community chorus there were typically about 80 singers. The director could hide the tone deaf person in the back and surround him with good singers. The church choir usually has between 12 and 16 people for the service. No place to hide. I swear that this guy was off key when the whole choir was singing the same note (in different octaves). Also, he can't possibly read music or he would at least know when to go down instead of up. Everyone else is a decent or better sight reader.

Gonna have to get a Roku or something so I can watch stuff. Just saw the excellent first season of Joe Pickett and the second season is only available with one of those devices.
Tomorrow I start my very own route. It may be a rough couple of weeks, especially with this weather, but it won't be anything compared to the three and a half years I've just been through.
Pottery is really in the rear view mirror now. Yesterday I got an email asking if I could put on a workshop for their organization. That's what I thought I'd be doing for a living. Ships passing in the night.

Aside from regular work - work, I got the faucets wrapped, my hair cut and a few boxes of files sorted - I can shred any non-original docs older than 10 years. So it has been a productive couple days. It is finally starting to hit me that I need to move all the crap from my current office to my home office by January 31, and my current home desk and printer to a new home. Wordle 937 3/6

Odd that on the day I got my route, it took me four tries to get this route. John, I really hope the route works out for you. Growing up, I remember my confusion about people having addresses with numbers and street names: I thought everyone, like me, lived on a route with a box number.
