Navy bean soup sounds great, and I've got all the ingredients. But I've also got a batch of chili that I'm determined to finish up.
It's three degrees, the wind is still blowing and the roads are impassible. I can't wait until spring.

Muireann Bradley recorded three songs for AG magazine. She chats a bit as well. Splendid! Wordle 938 3/6*

[...] Spent several hours with our bass player this AM working up Alfie for a gig this Tuesday. It's a great song with tricky phrasing and he sings it pretty darn well.
I just have one question, Terry: what's it all about?

Saturday shop is done. Only the guy with the J-200 today. He mentioned he was a painter and then the memory came back to me. I did some work for Derk back in the 80s when the State of MN Wildlife bought a loon painting for use in something they were doing. The 3-cent postage stamp, perhaps? (IYKYK) 😁
Whenever they raise the postage, people need the little stamps.

Me too LJ. The 'When the Levee Breaks' version is prolly my fave. It's also kinda fun to learn stuff about Memphis Minnie from an Irish schoolgirl.

Good morning. Last night I learned that I'll become a grandfather for the first time in August. It's a total surprise and a very welcome one. I'm reminded of when I discovered that I have a half-brother, four years ago. Just when you think life is through surprising you, it does. Yesterday the workmen finished building a raised garden for my lovely wife to use. It makes her very happy. That makes me happy. This afternoon I'll cook a chuck roast for dinner. It was on sale for half the usual price. Chuck is about the only cut that remains affordable so we have it fairly often. Rock on. Wordle 938 3/6* ⬜🟨🟩🟩🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Congratulations, Don! Grandparenthood is a great gig.

And his son who goes by "Scrapegoat" did some display work for a couple museums for me.

Congratulations, Don! Our second is due in early March, and the best part is that we'll be going down a little early so that when the time comes, we'll be able to stay with 3-year old Max while Mom and Dad run off to the hospital. I love being Grandpa Radtke.

Muireann Bradley recorded three songs for AG magazine. She chats a bit as well. Splendid! She is just wonderful. I used to play that version of Candy Man years ago. I should drag that back out. The challenge with that one, as I recall, was the backwards thumb. Thank you, James.

Kaiah called us in a complete panic. There was a centipede on the wall and Zaria was not home to kill it for her. I finally convinced her to stab it with a broom, she did, now she can't find it. Took me a while to convince her she either killed it or more likely she missed it and it scooted away and hid. Zaria will be home soon and she'll deal with it.

Good morning. 0F-13F cloudy. Winter has finally come to MN. Saturday shop. That 1973 J-200 Artist will be back today for some pre-repair consulting. This is probably going to be the most expensive repair I've ever done. He is going to spend $1600-$1800 to get this guitar back in playing condition and that is without doing any major finish work. You name it and it needs it. After shop we may venture out into the cold to get a window kit for the window near DaWife's desk. It's a large window and the only one we have a draft problem with. That means she gets lunch somewhere, maybe Vietnam Star. 66 Days Until Spring. Stock photo. I hope you'll treat us to some after pictures. My first day on my route started with a bang... to the head. Delivering a package to a garage, I turned around, only to have my feet go out from under me. I landed flat on my back and banged my head a good one on the driveway. A pretty good egg popped up and I bled for a while, but I seem to be fine this morning -- the swelling gone and no soreness anywhere. Maybe it will have smacked some sense into me. Today I get to Amazon in minus zero weather with 20 mph winds.

I can vividly recall two times where I slipped on some ice and landed flat on my back, and my head made contact, hard. And the relief I felt when I realized I was probably going to be OK.
I hope you are going to be OK, too.

I hope your noggin is ok. Hitting your head like that can be pretty dangerous.
