Well I've been up for an hour; I decided to just get up and go to work. My wife has been out of town for a couple of days and the dog's been sleeping with me. The bed's too tall, and he's too short, so if he wants to get down he whines until I can help him. And he's wanted to go outside into the 2Λ weather twice so far.
So I'm up.

No mail today, but I'm going in to do Amazon. Now that I'm a regular I will make 2.5x pay today. Plus, rather than carrying 2 or 3 routes as usual, I only have to carry my own route (yesterday I helped with another route anyway).

Good morning. I have nothing planned today except an appointment with my neurologist. After multiple MRIs and EEGs, four neurologists have found nothing wrong. I like that answer. I expect one pill to be eliminated.
We'll have ordinary winter weather.

Good morning. Cold temperatures in New York this morning, but not as cold as Iowa! Or Minnesota!
Stay warm, friends.

Well, it's dropped to 1Β°. Work at work has been cancelled; so it is work from home. My work area/desk area temperature seems to be right around 62Β°. TIme for a blanket on the legs.

Self-medicating: I don't recommend the method, but I've been battling with becoming progressively stooped. I do exercises to battle it, but I've been losing. But since my fall on the ice the other day, I've been walking rather upright and the stiffness in my neck is significantly reduced. Speaking of self-medicating. A couple of months ago I was having a really bad day with my back pain. The woman in the case next to mine offered me some celebrex. I have never taken anyone's prescription medicine before but I admit it -- I was a little desperate. And I at least knew what celebrex was (or at least thought I did). I not only made it through the day with the back pain subsiding, but sometime a few hours later I suddenly realized that my hands felt like they were 20 years younger. Completely un-stiff. I haven't taken it again, but I figure if I'm ever going to record some guitar playing, I'm going to hit her up for a couple of capsules.

Itβs -9Β° right now but heading up to a balmy +4! Being above 0 sounds nice. Weather person says 40Β° next week so we have something to dream about.

Up early to have breakfast and be ready when the electrician gets here to replace a light fixture on the beam that is 16 feet above the floor over our kitchen table. The table and area rug will have to be moved before he gets here. When will he really get here? Nobody knows.
Low of 37F so far. Headed for 68.

Good morning. Dreary weather this morning, supposed to start to rain this afternoon and that will last into tomorrow. Cold front coming through. I've got finances, shopping and other insignificant matters to attend to. Life goes on, be well.

Well the Packers surprised virtually everyone with a win over Dallas yesterday. The Packers set a record for the first time a 7 seed team won in the playoffs. Eric and I practiced yesterday for the first time in few months. Rusty as hell. Nothing much planned for today.

-15 here too this morning. Started getting sick Saturday mid day and spent most of the weekend in bed. In the shop for a bit then heading back home. I think the cold snap is about over.

Electrician arrived 5 minutes before the window. And Mr. H got a text that he was on his way. The guy has to be 6'6". Comes in handy when working with a high ceiling.

Good morning.
-8F-1F partly cloudy.
My back has had me in agony for weeks and I've been taking maximum doses of Tylenol just to take the edge off. Today I finally get to go see the Doc about it and as of yesterday it dialed down to just being sore, WTF. Talking to Terry the other day and he suggested it might be a infection which could explain my spending two days in bed last week with no symptoms other than being overly tired and lethargic. I'm not going to cancel the appointment because I feel much better because if I do you can bet your last dollar that the pain will come right back.
Riley had me up at 4am yelling he REALLY needed to go out. He did and as soon as I closed the door Simon shows up wanting to go out too. So I open the door and Simon sticks his nose out and shakes his head, no way dude too cold. At which point Riley comes back in. Life with fur babies.

But it is just as bad on kidneys and heart.

Just slightly above zero, two more inches of snow overnight. Here on the lee side of Lake Michigan, we can expect an inch or wo every day.
Headed out shortly for some light snowblowing around our place and some heavy snowblowing at a neighbor's place. It appears she is out of town and her driveway is drifted over, and blocked at the street by the glacier kicked up by the city plow. It would be an unpleasant surprise to return home to. I usually do some extra work for neighbors when I go out with the snowblower. It's easy. The difficult part is getting motivated and bundling ups to head outside on a frigid day.

But it is just as bad on kidneys and heart. The stuff I use is called Diclofenac. It is an NSAID with a time release. One dose on any given day when my neck starts hurting usually stops it that day and it will last for weeks. Linda started using it for the arthritis in her hands. It keeps the inflammation down for days after taking one.
