If you look close, I was the fourth who entered the stage as the act began. Of course it was the others who made my performance stand out as it did, but those of us who were there will never forget the role I played.

Dance teams are the big thing. I have two great-nieces who are on dance teams that compete all over the country. They do crazy acrobatics that seem dangerous to me-both have been hurt, one dislocated her shoulder and took 3-4 months to recover-and the crowds scream at the top of their lungs non-stop during the competition. They wear sparkling costumes and the girls are impossible to tell apart. I never know which one is our niece in the videos they send. The teams have maybe 20 members so they fill the stage. $$$$, but to them & their parents, it’s all worth it. Maybe they dream of a career in dangerous dance. One even spent two weeks in Costa Rica at a dance camp.
